Jumps and Things

Oh we are good at that agility stuff. Here's a video from today.

We have really blended with our relatives (yeah Spice's dad is Kat and Jeannie's Pups Dad is Kat).  No wonder why we get along. heh Well not all family members do.

But here - we think we rather like having more to play with. Can you tell who we are in the video? Try it!

Are We Adjusting?

Credit: Jill SackmanSuddenly we have 6 new friends and well maybe we do not like that but we do! We all seem to be doing realy well with each other so much so that the Jeannie pups may come out on Saturday after the Spice puppy visit so they can see all 10 together.

They had a grand time in the grass today. well, what is supposed to be grass. Check it out. Be sure to check out the videos as we also had visitors playing with the pups. They are making wonderful progress!

Life is So Much Fun

The pups are getting close in capabilities but if you notice Jeannie's pups are now jumping and running full steam. Give it a week or less and you won't see a difference, I imagine. They have had 8 days on Spice's to perfect their skills. But they are playing catch-up so soon it will be difficult to know who is who unless you really look.

Morning Play - This is xpen play first thing this morning.

Pool Cover and More - This is their venture out on the pool cover and around the pool and of course on the deck. Nathan was a part of these 2 videos.

The pups really are great!

Upstairs: Updated

Upstairs Without Mom All NightFirst time sleeping without mom upstairs. I will admit I didn't get any sleep watching them on my ipad.  Got photos and videos to share.

Going Upstairs Video

Jeannie slept like a baby up against me and watched the ipad with me. She has very little milk so I am not sure if she has decided to wean them. She has been like that all day so they are eating more solids than her. She decided to eat minimally today which usually happens when she weans. We shall see.

How did the pups do? They slept till almost 530am. They had this 'wide eyed oh my where am I' but not a single whimper and I had the sound turned on so even if I drifted off to sleep and didn't see them visually I heard them. I did check all night long. They then played from 530 to 7am when they went downstairs.

By the time they go home the goal is 10pm to 7am sleeping and we usually achieve that by play before bed etc and with larger tummies, it all comes together.

They were exceptional.

6 Week Bath: Gallery and Video Addeds

They are not truly 6 weeks till tomorrow night but here is their 6 week bath before their visit.

Here's one of the girls.

Here's the Creamy boy. He's the first one who turned their head right around and said no photos. Even with a bath he's a riot. He has an extra photo showing his reaction to being wet and wanting to take his photo.

I will let you guess on that but it wasn't loud protests. It was rather a muttering under their breath at the dryers in their face and what's the wet stuff on me. They did really well.

Will I get to videos? I am not sure. I have the other blogs to do and we are going out tonight to have dinner with a friend that is getting married in Latin America with her and her husband to be and 24 of their friends that are going on a plane tomorrow to witness. We can't go as we have the dogs. So videos or not will depend on time.

It does take a long time to wash, dry and take photos and clean pens.

Come dressed warm in case we do the visit outside. That is - only if its warm enough.

Here's a gallery of their kitchen visit today before their bath.

They Too Are Changing

As you will see in one of the videos a couple of them are actually running now. They are starting to be real characters. You will enjoy the 6 week visit.

Tomorrow they will have baths. That's my job. They will get their pads cleaned up and be brushed and combed under a dryer. It will be a new experience. We will see who likes it and who doesn't.

They won't last long at 6 weeks but they may surprise you. I will keep them awake early and allow them to sleep before you arrive so they can last without conking out on you. It's going to be fun.

As you can see some of them are also attempting jumps. As I said - real characters.

Here's today's videos including all 10 together.

Merging Fun

Pups are getting better at being together as a crew. They are not quite there yet to be merged into one but they are getting there. Here's a video of them playing today. Check out the Spice's blog to see all 10 playing together. You will see Blondie attempting a jump.

First Kitchen Visit

Seeing on Sunday we have visitors (6 week visit) I figured it was time to allow them to explore the kitchen and they did amazing. One week in the scheme of things is so obvious at this age but then again Spice's got out a week earlier.

Staurday they will have a bath.

We have had 3 play sessions out of the xpen today. Pups are tearing a little. That will dry up. You see right now all 10 are teething. Soon the teeth will be through and it will dry up and I will clean up the area. This is normal. Teething is so much fun for them. They chew on everything. I need to get some new teethers for babies that I can freeze to soothe their mouth. Its obvious as they even try to gnaw on the crate. A couple already have teeth and hurt Jeannie feeding. She lets them know. They willl learn to be gentle if they want to eat. Although I can feel teeth coming in Spice's they are not fully out like a couple of Jeannies are.

I gave them ground up kibble today. They tasted it but wasn't very crazy about it but when hungry they will eat. Jeannie did feed them about 530am. Dennis is trying to get them to 7am so they can go upstairs. This should happen after the 6 week visit. We are taking longer with this process as we are trying to get the pups playing with each other but we may just be putting up 1 and then the other a week later. We will know when it is time.

Here's a video of their kitchen fun.
