Fave Pose

Click on Photo for Larger ViewYou can now find Jeannie on her back more than you can find her on her tummy. It's just plain more comfie at this stage. Tomorrow after 4pm we will be posting how many she is expecting. As temps are still sitting high, she will make her xray. We are packing in case we need to deliver in the car. We have done so in the past so no worries but personally - Thursday or Monday would delight me. Monday please...

Will know more tomorrow.

Finally

The camera is setup finally. As you can see you can now see the entire whelping box. I had all the towels neat but moms have messed it up. Jeannie was nesting but nothing serious. She is simply rearranging.

We are taking temps now.She is ranging from 99.1 to 100.4. Normal temps are 101 to 102.5 F, When she drops to low 98s then she has 12 to 24 hours to go. We are still hoping for Thursday, hahahaha only cause xrays are Wednesday and Nathan is at a show Friday to Sunday.

Mucous Plug

Belly is getting tight. We are losing our mucous plug slowly. Mommy has to clean me twice a day.

A dam approaching full term, day 60, will start to shed her plug. This plug can shed, or shed a little daily for up to a week before delivery; four to five days prior is very common. She has been shedding for days. I keep asking Dennis to set up the camera.

Hoping we still can make xrays just because I have never missed one. Xray is slated for Wednesday and Nathan has me booked for baths and cuts Monday and Tuesday. He best be taking phone #s as he will be calling if the pups are coming. heh I know he thinks I am super human but.... He keeps telling everyone we have a week. Love it if we did. Time will tell.

Just a Bath

Click on Photo for Larger ViewClick on Photo for Larger ViewClick on Photo for Larger ViewToday Ms. Jeannie had a bath and she got to play with Patches today. You will have to look at photos in a gallery on All About Dogs blog when it is up.

As you can see Jeannie has milk in her bottom two milk stations and in reality she has them on the next two up as well. I have not taken temps yet as my rectal thermometer is broken and I have to get Nathan to go get one. I imagine it won't be till tomorrow the rate we are going.

We did get the whelping box for Jeannie downstairs and my little supply box but nothing else is done. I need old face cloths as we use them to rub the pups down after debuting. I am not finding them so not sure why. This is what happens as we use them for other things and in reality I should just buy a bunch and leave them with the whelping box. I suspect that tomorrow I will be hunting them down. Today I did baths. Now to get serious about getting ready.

Hmmm

Jeannie already has milk and kicking. Milk can come in 7 days before delivery or not till after delivery. Wonder if she will make her xray date. Best get everything setup before Monday, her 1st possible day to deliver. Have to go buy a new rectal thermometer and start taking temps. Went to try the one I have and I can't get a reading.

XRAY Date and New Belly Shots Plus New Digs

This is Jeannie as a pup.  She heads to the vet for her xray on the 11th at 1pm. We won't be back till 330ish. I know it may be cutting it close as her first due date is the 12th but we will find out.  Wonder how many we shall see. Guess its time to get things ready starting Monday. So much to do to get ready. I am personally hoping she doesn't have pups till the 16th or later. She is due Due March 12-March 20, 2015.

Click on Photo for Larger ViewToday we started setting up the xpens. We placed it on the opposite side of the room. It keeps them away from a draft from the front door. We also set up our black xpens with doors vs. the white plastic. When litters are older we will combine them so they have room to play. We may or may not put the couch up against the opposite wall - need to measure for night time watch. We still have whelping boxes, heat lamps, cameras to set up. Much to do but we will do a little each day till we are done.

Just Another Pose

Tomorrow I will weigh the dogs to see how much they weigh. Jeannie is doing well and eating up a storm but Spice is eating even more. She has more room in her belly as her body is longer.

I just took a tape measure around her middle, across her tummy and up to the back and it is 19". I did the same with Spice.

Jeannie's Belly

Click on Photo for Larger ViewJeannie is a tad pickier than Spice in the food department but she is eating a great deal too. She is not as comfie standing this way on the grooming table.

Her first due date is March 12th but I think she will go later. Maybe that is wishful thinking or that I have yet to get anything ready.

Time soon to get her xray and shave that belly. Exciting times coming. I am hoping later for Jeannie and early for Spice in their due date possibles. We shall see.

Full Of What

Abby is full of fun. Dennis is so totally smitten with her. I can't believe how fast she is.

Run, run....

She also has the play bow perfected inviting play with everyone. I love the personalities in this litter.

Jeannie was thrilled to see Patches the other day and today she has been so attentive to Abby. I do believe she is thrilled that she arrived too! In reality, I know it!

Here are more running shots.

Patches and Jeannie

Patches before her bath hanging out with Momma Jeannie. Jeannie is getting so large all of a sudden.

This was Patches after her bath. I wonder how Nathan gets them so attentive.

Patches says Ms. Clarity guess who is boss. hahahaha

Then Patches went out and stuck her face in the snow. She just wanted to make sure I had to dry her again. I did laugh. She's so fun.
