So Adorable

This one looks so much like the Raven. She is such a cutie! The pups are eating their mousse really well. They do not like the kibble yet but this happened with Adele's crew as well. They will make the leap.

Here is today's gallery.

Our son Jon was also playing with the Jeannie pups. Who could resist.

I just love how they wag their whole bodies when you greet them in the morning and when you lay on the floor with them. Such happy gals!

Dennis will still be on the night shift till the Leti pups are 4 plus weeks old. Looks like he has 3 plus more weeks to go.

Be sure to check out the videos.

5.5 Week Visit

Pups had visitors today. See Adele's blog for details. I can see a significant difference between a half of a week ago in capabilities and interaction. They are on track. In 10 days we will have another visit.

Here is the gallery from today's visit.

The pups are now waggy tail fun things. I just love them!

Be sure to check out the videos.

First Snow

They had their first snow experience and see how they did in this video. See who liked this white stuff the most out of the Adele and Jeannie pups.

Here is the gallery.

I just love having these first experiences!

These gals are starting to come into their own as they get older. They are eating mousse well and on their own now. They are playing like crazy then this...

Individual Play

Not feeling well so this will be short. I am still uploading videos. Today the pups were on. They played and played. They rolled on their backs to get you to rub their tummy. That's a Jeannie trait. Come visit Jeannie and see what I mean. Many a person she has rolled on her back for to say rub my tummy. Today suddenly these 2 are.

Here is today's gallery.

The pups were delicious today. It was as if they said we are older now. :-) That's what happened to Adeles.

Be sure to look at the videos.

5 Week Visit

The 5 week visit happened first and then the 6 week visit with Adele's. Jeannie's are younger and quieter. Part is personality, part is their age. They will again have another visit at 7 weeks vs 8 weeks. We are going to have to make decisions after that 7/8 week visit. But they are loves and I just adore them!

We will see everyone at 3pm on December 23rd.

Here is the gallery of the 5 and 6 week visit with both litters.

I put the gallery together as I really need to consolidate how many galleries and videos I am doing so I get some time to breathe. heh I hope you don't mind.

Be sure to check out the videos.

First Bath at 5 Weeks

The pups had a bath and they were actually great for their bath, This is 1 week earlier than we usually do it.

Due to a dematting, and grooming for others plus 7 pups to do, the blogs will be short.

Here is a gallery of their baths.

The pups were fun during the bath.

Here is a gallery of them playing in the hall today.

Tomorrow they get to see the humans. But this human has to get the ^%$# leaves that the dogs drag in off my floor for the umpteenth time.

Hope you enjoy this duo. They remind me so much of our Raven!

Almost 5 Weeks Old

Everyone has asked me about the personalities of Jeannie's pups. They do change and you can't assess fully till 8 weeks but I find their personalities are like Ravens. Make no mistake, I love the Raven. All you have to do is watch her with the pups. She is a gentle being. She doesn't accept any grief from Stormy but her methods are always using your brain vs physical. I really appreciate that. She will make an amazing mom.

The Jeannie pups are younger and they do tire out faster. I may start putting the Adele pups upstairs. I was waiting to merge the 2 but at this point I think it will have to be when these pups are older - perhaps when they are 6 weeks old. At times a couple of the Adele pups maul these two and that's not fair as they do not have size to combat it nor the same level of abilities yet. They will - just not at the 5 and 6 week stage. I was hopeful but  I believe it will be at the 6 and 7 week stage.

Here is a gallery of just them upstairs.

Their vet visit date is on December 29th and they will be going home starting on January 12th. The Leti pups will be a bit over 5 weeks old. When these pups go home, the next week after that we will be having the leti Pup 6 week visit. Oh my.

Tomorrow the pups will have their first bath a week earlier than usual. Due to teh holidays they get a 5 week visit vs a 6 week visit. The holidays change everything.

We may be taking out the Jeannie pups first and then bringing in the Adele pups for the visit. It's going to be a fun one and you will see the difference mostly as these are 5 weeks and Adele's are 6 weeks. That's a huge jump in development in this particular age group.

Be sure to check out the videos.

4 Weeks and 5 Days Old

I did not take many photos today. I apologize. I also had a hard time taking videos as something always happened. Tomorrow is a new day. The pups get truly excited to see me. It does my heart good. They are starting to eat Mousse.

Gallery of Both Litters

They have teeth though not as many as Adele's pups have. They are starting to try hopping and are investing in play much more. It is interesting to see a litter of two as their play is more gentle or maybe its just these 2.

Be sure to check out the videos.

4 Weeks 4 Days Old

Each day they get a bit more capable in dealing with the Adele pups. They are gentle beings where Adele's are rowdy but that's typical for the age. You can't know yet who will be what till the 8 week stage as they attempt and try and sort things out. What I can tell you is each of these girls are characters. They make me laugh and truly enjoy humans. They are loving beings. I have yet to hear a voice. Oh they have one but they don't need to use one as it's just the 2.

The pups are slimming down and growing at the same time. They expel more energy now as they are more active. They either eat like crazy or slim down. Most slim down. A few eat like crazy. Sounds like humans? I like to eat too. :-)

It is hard to believe that in 4 days we are going to have a visit with all these humans. I do believe they are up to it even though they will be a week younger than we usually do it. They may not stay up as long but that's okay too.

We will figure it out and have a grand time!

Be sure to check out the gallery on the Adele page and be sure to check out the videos.

4 Weeks 3 days Old

This is Jeannie's gal with a face of not being impressed. You see for the first time one of the Adele pups took the hair and skin on her back and shook her. I immediately stopped it but this is how they learn from their siblings as they are the same size and tell them NO. They test boundaries and learn what they can and can't do. Jeannie's is still smaller and didn't have the body size to get away and say NO. So, in this case I helped her and said NO to the other puppy essentially stopping the play. They learn when play is stopped.

I still believe that giving 1 more week they will be able to stop an overzealous Adele pup. Adele pups are starting to try to test their boundaries. This is quite the norm at their age. Jeannie's will be doing the same in a week.

Here is the gallery.  Plus a bonus gallery!

Jeannie's pups have increased in their walking skills and I have seen them hopping and attempting running. They are right on target in their capabilities.

Tomorrow I will hold the Jeannie and Adele pups together so you can see the size difference.

Be sure to check out the videos.
