Looks like I can only do an update minus photos as we are having issues with uploading. The pups did really well in the kitchen. It seems like a sea of pups with 12. Some ventured into the shark, others under the table, others on the other side of the kitchen.
They did really well for their first time out in the kitchen. Tomorrow we do it again.

I will have to order a couple of more of these beds as this one is so well received. It's high on top as you can see better in this photo and low in the front. The pups just climb into it by themselves that is if I can get Roxie out of it.
Today I added kibble a new way as the soup with goats milk was not a hit and its mighty messy.
This is softened kibble ground up in a cusinart after it is cool or it would be mushy and some tiny pieces of chicken added in for enticement. No one has touched it yet but they are sleeping. We shall see how it goes.
We had a puppy visit with Lynda and pups and moms were WONDERFUL! Here is the video. In the background we had Leti wanting to see the pups, Logan going crazy to see his Momma - ignore all that and just concentrate on the 12 pups. Each time we take a video I will have to put it on another momma's blog. :-)

We got this rather fun bed from the same woman that does the fish, shark, dog houses. The pups LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it and so does Roxie. It's hard for you to see but its lower in the front and higher in the back. I didn't even have to put a pup in it but Blondie just climbed right in and got comfie. Roxie just rolled and rolled in it.
Starting Thursday we are going to have outside of xpen time - all 12. hahahahaha Chaos here we come.

As you can see Roxie's boy cuddles with the Spice boy. Okay, I can't call it the Spice boy as Roxie thinks he is all hers.
Blondie sleeps in the most funny ways and tends to be independent. She plays with the siblings but she likes to also do her own thing as well.
She didn't eat all that much yesterday and today she chomped away when I left it and walked away. hmmm
The tri boy who ate with gusto didn't eat as much but the adopted one ate up a storm. See his photo on Spice's blog. He was a riot!
She ate so much food that she passed on mom. I made sure she had water and she took to that easily.
This one LOVEs his toys and snuggles. He snuggles with you, with the toys, with the siblings. Hey, it just feels good.

You know how Roxie is a picky eater? Dennis came up with what he was doing at night. He feeds all 3 moms outside of the xpens on a regular basis and Panda always waits for Roxie to walk away. It seems Roxie is now a better eater after that happened. Good motivating Panda. :-0 Besides soon the pups can't have their moms food in their pens so this works great. They can choke on Mom's food.
On their 4th week birthday the crew had food for the first time and got to walk outside of the xpen.
The pups are starting to get tearing as they have teeth coming in. This always happens and then it dries out. Teeth coming in is stress-filled and sore so their eyes do get watery. You will notice when a tooth pokes through and no others are near the surface suddenly the eyes dry up again. It also seems that Spice's pups are getting teeth but not Panda's yet. Lucky Panda. Teeth can hurt when feeding. That is why the introduction of food is so important.
We will try this once a day till all are eating well and then go up to twice a day. Water also has to be introduced but for now they are getting enough water from mom.

Roxie is playing with her pups in such a delightful way these days.
She also always checks on them. Are you okay? Yes, mom we are just sleeping!
Soon this crew will try out food. We will take a video to show you how it goes.

Roxie's pups are just a day and a half from 4 weeks old - wow! Soon they will be eating food. When they have food their tummies must adjust. It's a lot of cleanup time till they use the pads without help. A couple already do. Some take to food slowly. Some take to it like they were starving. If you notice even in adulthood some are more picky than others and some are pure chow hounds. It happens. Roxie is a picky eater unless you giev her the good stuff and Abigail's Adele is a nut about food. They are each different.
Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 9:35PM Roxie's Blondie wants the food. Camera arrived but we are testing it and setting it up. It's on my desk and tomorrow we will figure out where to place it so we can see both pens. TV is on in the background - sorry - Criminal Minds.
But I think Blondie gave it her all and didn't succeed. You can see in this video how they are growing up.

Meet the 3 that makes Roxie's heart skip a beat. She cuddles with them. Lays up against them. It is obvious she is in love.
All 3 have the roundest tummies and Ms. Roxie is eating better these days. She's still a tiny gal herself but she keeps Daddy on her toes cooking up yummy stuff to entice her.
Tomorrow we will have Spice's at 3 weeks, Pandas at 2.5 days older and Roxie 2.5 days older than Panda's. They are all getting mighty animated including the Spice ones that are 5 days behind.
Its wonderful laying in each pen with them.

The trio has been around for a good many days. Spice's pup has learned to perfect his skills in overdrive and Roxie's pups have taken him on as their own. Is 3 a crowd - I think not.
But Roxie is a bit greedy. She keeps checking out Spice's pups and that's not going to happen. This occured as Mr. #1 boy of Spice's didn't think he was getting enough milk so on a regular basis he was pushing everyone off. This was interfering with weight gain for all including himself. Instead of putting him on each feeding or supplementing him (mothers milk is best) I thought for the first time I would try this out as a solution. Spice still says hello and cleans him up but doesn't mind sharing.
Click on Photo for Larger ViewHe is thriving and so are the rest of Spice's crew. But here I am left with not knowing where to talk about this guy. He is a precious soul. He has gone into overdrive and seems to be learning from the older crew. Its interesting to watch. Once they are put together it will be interesting to watch. I find when we have 2 litters close together they become 1. They eat off of whatever mom is closeby and moms that get along don't mind. The moms genuinely help each other. In this case, if it all unfolds this way, they will have gained 3 moms.
But it all still seems strange as we are doing something new.
