4 Plus Days Old

Here is the gallery.

The pups are doing well. All litters are gaining nicely. No one to help along even more than usual.

Willow's back milk stations are soft now. Pups never stopped eating from them. The vet feels it was due to an abundance of milk.

Aren't they beautiful?

Here are the videos.

3 Full Days

Here is the gallery.

Willow's back milk stations are starting to loosen up. Pups have eaten from it despite. We never stopped flowing - just a bit more required to express milk.

I did an individual video of the pups.

They are all gaining nicely. They gain at various weights but all 3 litters are getting fat. That is a wonderful feeling.

I am glad that the pups are all close in age. It will be fun to see them playing.

2 Full Days Old

Here is the gallery.

It is hard to believe that they are only older by a day and a half from Nami's 4. They are gaining. Willow is doing well though she has so much milk, her back milkstations are getting hard so we are being proactive before the pups can't feed on them. We are putting pups on the back end and started her on a few days of antibiotics to get her past this hump. This happens and the antibiotics - not even a full 7 day regiment just a few days clears it up. These antibiotics do not affect or pass through the milk just aleviates it so it clears up. She is fine and we are early so it should just take 1 more day.

All pups are gaining nicely. Due to Nami, I was unable to weigh Willow or Hallie's pups last night so this morning I got a 24 hour reading and all gained VERY well.

Willow is happy. She is eating and we need to get more calcium in her. I may just give her a squeeze of Calsorb as she is digging. This means she is producing an abundance of milk and is at the very beginning of depleting sources so we again are proactive. Nothing to be concerned about. I believe in transparency. She is happy and pups and her are doing well despite this.

She so loves her pups.

Videos are up and I will add more later.

One Full Day Old

Here is the gallery.

As you know, Willow' milk didn't fully come in and then it did. Pups lost a bit of weight. It wasn't dramatic but this is the norm. This morning they have gained and surpassed their birth weight. They are doing well and so is mom.

I will add to the gallery, as I can. Videos are up and i will add to those too as time allows.

Approximately 8 Hours Old Plus

Here is another gallery. Gallery and videos of birth are in the earlier blog. I have also added a few videos. If you subscribe you will get notified when new videos are uploaded.

Mom and pups are doing well. They are all feeding. I will not weigh them till tonight at 7pm. I do weigh ins at 7am and 7pm. So, I have no idea if they lost but losses at this age are the norm.

Willow had a messier birth so I am cleaning blankets often. Nathan forgot to do laundry and he is napping now so I am setting up Nami, doing laundry, changing waters and making sure moms get tons of love. I will not brush Willow till tomorrow and then just like Hallie she will get daily combouts.

Other than just getting 3 hours sleep, I am okay. I hope Nami is not till tomorrow so we are all rested. We shall see.

Pups are Here

She has a pup that keeps surfacing then going back in. We will have pups this morning.

First born is a boy at 727am with a full white blaze around neck. Placenta was firmly inside still.

He weighs 5-2/8oz 151g He has wonderful markings. Maybe black and white.

Second born is a girl born at 857am. Looks sable and white to me. She weighs 8-5/8oz 245g

3rd born is a boy. He was born at 934am. He weighs 8oz 227g. He looks like a tri with 4 sable feet, white chin, small blaze on chest - dark brown.

4th one was born at 951am and weighs 6-7/8oz 197g. It's a girl. Beige feet above white tip feet with a white blaze on neck.

5th one born at 1035am. It's a boy. He is an apricot sable and white.

I need bed. I have now been up since 7am yesterday and I am making mistakes. So forgive me. Videos may have to wait till I get rest.

Here is the gallery. If you see Hallie photos in it - its by mistake.

It's the Wee Hours

I am up with Willow and Hallie. She's panting but nothing has progressed yet. I am trashed and trying to stay awake. There is a video of Willow nesting on the recliner. See it here.

Dennis is sleeping now. Nathan had a 45 minute nap. Me, I dematted a dog and brushed everyone else.
