Catching Rays

I am having issues with errors in the gallery I built today so hoping it is okay. I uploaded it 6 times.

My grand daughter tried to groom Adele and River and now I am done Adele and tomorrow - River. It's interesting cause Adele now has ears up to her ear leather but this is how you learn. We will see how River turns out. LOL I have had a truly heavy day grooming. Tomorrow is the same - Monday too.

I did manage to get in the pool despite my schedule. I got about 20 minutes I eeeked out.

Dogs played. I clicked some inbetween groomings.

It was a good day but a busy one. As you can see, it's 8pm. LOL

New Fun

Teddy, Charlie, Lexi and Chester arrived today. Tenshi departs tonight. It's been a riot of a day. Although Charlie and Teddy are aware of each other, they are playing independently. It will be interesting to see who sleeps where.

I managed to get in the pool for a half hour and tonight I am grooming. LOL I want to lay on the couch and chill hmmmm - which shall I do? I guess I can groom in the morning. Have to do Tenshi before departure.

The dogs are playing in such a fun way. They will all sleep tonight. In and out - play, play and play. No one but Teddy and Nami has napped. It's just been way too much fun.

Happy 2nd Birthday

Hi Darlah and Nathan,

I can’t believe our little Beau is already 2 years old.  He’s our Happy Happy Havanese fur baby. 

He had a wonderful “Beau-day” and as yiu can see he’s really enjoying his Beau-day cookie.

Wishing all Beau’s siblings Is having a great birthday.  Kisses to Mama Leti and Daddy Stone.

Messy Times LOL

On that note, after I get off this blog, I will be combing out more dogs. They earned being messy as they played and played and played. Not true swimming weather but warmer than yesterday.

If it wasn't for my desire to swim, this would be perfect weather. Can it stay all year?

I cooked up turkey bacon and the dogs were in heaven. They just LOVE it. They didn't even leave any for me. Okay, I gave them all but then thought later - would be nice to have a piece.

Tenshi and Brewer arrived and always manage to have fun. Tenshi wanted to eat everyone's food tonight. Special treat in it so who can blame her!

Tomorrow we have FUN! More dogs coming to play. How lucky are we? One is from the last litter so dear old Nami will be so excited.

I wanted to give Nami cross words today as she can't help trying to see the pups but Raven says they are too young. Did you hear that, Nami. We have a reprieve as she is in class.

Cool Time

I want to call her Sui (Sooey) vs Nami - not sure why but each time a new dog comes, she gets silly happy.

We have Parker that arrived today. Parker is playing with everyone.

I also caught a photo of Lola sitting in the tv room on top of Nathan's head. I will post it tomorrow. It was funny enough to get me to run for the camera.

Nathan's brother and wife came for a visit. It was fun to catch up. The dogs gave them a ton of kisses.

One of my puppy people told me I should post this as she said she had not heard of it. If your dog is starting to knot, it is time to wash. Greasy hair mats easily especially with friction.

Wet and Dirty

They mostly played indoors as the rain came down and down and down.

It was great fun. Nami especially loved the visit - Louis too. Yes, of course us adults did too!

Harlow just got groomed and bathed. She will be departing any time now. She knows bath and groom means departure. She was playing up a storm today and you can see it in some of the photos, I suspect.

Will we have more rain tomorrow? Starting to miss the pool.

Inbetween Rain

Well, Charlie, Buddy and Tucker departed today. Rain came then went and came and went and oh boy it teemed. No watering plants tonight. That saves time but no swimming today. I stood outside with Charlie and pulled driveway weeks. LOL I think that is called multi-tasking. But boy I will be seriously weeding once the pups can go outside. I am so far behind.

We have cooked thick bacon, thin bacon and turkey bacon. The dogs like the turkey bacon in the air fryer the best.

We are taking out and rotating toys to play games. The dogs - some LOVE the toys and as the change daily, it's as if it is all new.

Sun is out. Dogs can go out now and it is hot. The day is almost done and finally it is pool weather. Well maybe tomorrow!

No Gallery Day

Okay - is that rain coming back? It came down in the droves then stopped and we went out then it rained and on and on. They say more rain tomorrow. Our plants need it. We usually water our plant pots at 9pmish so it is the most effective. None tonight.

Buddy and Tucker departs tomorrow after their grooming. Benji departed today. Tenshi came for a day visit and brought us some Gimbal and Nathan enjoyed most of it. We so love trying new things. So, we appreciate Sylvia and William.

The dogs say we are playing indoors as the humans have games they play when weather is bad. Thank gad for pads. Yes, sometimes it is good for dogs to be able to use pads and outdoors on days like today. Who wants wet feet wicked up the legs? Well, some of us say this is NOt for me!

Friends and Fun

We had friends over but we didn't get to swim as it was cloudy but they will be back to swim - am hoping! Nathan and Ella did swim despite the feeling of coolness. Ella and Rusty are siblings.

This afternoon Tucker and Buddy arrived. Benji arrives tomorrow.

Lots of grooming, it seems but we will make it through the long weekend. Nathan went shopping as stores will be closed and he said it was way busy. Figures. A couple of hours later he came home with our food list.

Nami loves, loves people. I heard all 3 pups did well in class. I surely wish I could have seen. So many changes to adjust to. But we do.

Leti and Spirit still are spooning days later.

What a Day: Gallery Added

The dogs love to sunbathe when it is not too hot. I can't blame them.

Meelo departed earlier and I bet he is a tired boy. He just loved to play and we miss is fun enthusiasm already!

Pickles is departing any moment. Bella departing tonight and then it will just be Nami. She is heading to class tonight. She may be exhausted from all this play but that is okay too.

It's been a real fun get together between the 3. They have had a blast.

Abby and Zoey depart tonight. They both had shorter haircuts. We are going to miss them! It has been delightful to have them.

Brewer looked at the trio pups today and said really - did you multiply? LOL Harlow decided lounging in the tv room was easier than dealing with 3 at once - one she doesn't mind but oy 3 really? I say that as it was funny - not a negative. It was as if she rolled her eyes - that look. Where did they all come from?

No swimming today. It was actually cloudy - warm but not hot. Listened to the Obama today. He inspires - I tell you but enough politics,

Here's hoping Nami has a great class. I will wait to hear! Sounds like all the pups did well. let me know how you think yours did.

The Fun Of It

Lots of grooming today so I am running late. Sorry about that.

Nathan goes to class with Nami. Wish I could see. I sure hate covid as there are things you enjoy that you can't but it is what it is.

I have a red tomato. LOL Okay, we celebrate the strangest things here. Can't wait till more so I can make salsa.

Yikes a couple of hours and it is bedtime.

Bella and the Crew

Bella was over for a short bit and played with Nami and her Mom, Willow. They had a blast!

Meelo arrived and is having a great time. Harlow is really warming up to Nami. It's nice. Marcie was here for a couple of hours. Abby and Zoey are getting cut short a little at a time. They depart Thursday.

Never got in the pool as it kept getting cloudy and I find I like it to be sunny to get into the pool. How silly of me. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain and I hope it does all day as I have an early morning till late night grooming. It's a busy day tomorrow.

Dogs are really enjoying the couch outside, the storage thing as they all lay out on either as if they say - it is for me - no? Of course it is.

Visit

Ellie was here for a visit and she played up a storm. It was a riot. If she is not napping then - well what can I say. She had a great time. You can see in the videos.

We also tried out the misting fan. Personally, I love it especially laying on a mat in this heat while it sends droplets on me in the pool but the dogs were not sure. We will keep trying. You will also see this in the video.

It is beyond hot today. It rained a couple of times and the steam just rose. To say it was hot was an understatement. Best place to be is inside or in the pool. But I had to watch the fun with the pups outdoors as they ran and played the best under furniture, around it and well it was fun.

We hear Pickles is coming to visit too. Can't wait.

It was great to see Leti happy to see Ellie. Even Harlow and Brewer sniffed them up. Progress! Hard to deal with crazy, running, in your face pups if you are a dawg. LOL

So Hot Out

It was a scorcher today - actually still is. Finn and Hallie like running in the dirt under the Japanese Maple Tree. I think it is cool there. We only have them in the shade or out for short bits of time when it is this hot. they appreciate the air conditioning. I tried them on a misting fan and only Sky appreciated. We will try again tomorrow but I tell you having it pool side to spray on you or on the deck actually cools you down.

This is my no grooming day off but Finn is going home tomorrow at 715am so I will have to plan a day off another day. did you hear that, Nathan? LOL

Dogs are really loving runs upstairs.

Visits and Change

Leti's Ollie was here visiting and Nami and Ollie had great fun. They are in class together. They came over for a visit and brought a misting fan. I groomed till just now so I was unable to try it but we are going to tomorrow and I may even videotape it. Thank you, truly. Benji departed today (miss him already) and Finn arrived. It has been a busy day. All the dogs are doing well with each other.

I got all the dogs combed out - knot free and gave full grooms to others. I am honestly tired.

Leti arrived after her puppy arrived. It was not expected but she is home to stay. She wasn't keen on staying home alone after a lifetime of always being with others. She was excited to see us and excited to see the dogs. I am sorry that it didn't work out but I am also happy to have her snuggle with me in bed. I just wish she had come earlier to see her son. Next time... Jon and his girlfriend can come swim and visit with her anytime.

It was hot today so I had the ice cube machine running. I wanted to air fry turkey bacon but that is one of those things that will have to wait till tomorrow.

No one swam though the heat was great but perhaps tomorrow. We shall see. I have to convince Nathan to comb out the swimmers as it is my no grooming day. LOL

It seems the dogs are eating my pool float. tsk tsk What is that about?

It's Friday

It's overcast. they say this weekend will feel like 41c but it's balmy at the moment. Okay not balmy but comfortable.

Dogs have been playing. I sit on the couch and they jump over the xpen to get to me. LOL Yes, even the might Nami can jump over too. What an agile creature she is. Nathan said yesterday - I so love this dog as she loves me. This is after she broke in this room to check out the pups not once, not twice but 3 times and when I yelled - NAMI she just saunters off as if to say WHAT?

I brushed, combed and cut down somewhat - doing it in stages 2 dogs. I decided I will play catch up tomorrow and maybe I need a nap too. I certainly have to upload videos. Here's one of a few dogs playing. I need to take more of them playing outside.

Play Play Play

4 Siblings were here - well 3 are still here and they had so much fun as you will see in the gallery.

Everyone played and played. I tried to weed but only did a small amount and had a full day of grooming but not like the other day. LOL Dogs like the path being back. Yes, I only weed for the dogs - actually that is probably true. I just have no time or desire.

Tomatoes are big but not red. Oh well.

We tried St. Louis Bar and Grill takeout the other day and I rather liked it. Instead of BBQ I had a fajita sandwich. I will have to try their BBQ.

Nathan bought turkey bacon and we used the air fryer to cook it. The dogs LOVED, LOVED loved it! We did it for Raven but spread the wealth with everyone. Now we have to buy more! I think they wanted MORE. I even felt it tasted good. Love the toaster oven being an air fryer too. It even works well as a dehydrator. When Nathan bought it when our toaster oven died, I said what do I need an air fryer for. Well, now I know. It's about time!

Rain Off and On

The chairs have it. Yes, our comfort is their comfort. I am not sure what it is about these particular chairs but they covet them. They also like the new arrangement of the deck. I still have not used the couch but will when the weather is good. Today we have had rain off and on.

Hallie and Benji  are really tight. They play with each other quite a bit. It looks like they are fighting but this was pure play. Hallie will miss him when he departs.

Nami is an interesting puppy. Nathan has been working on her quite a bit. She does come to his call now. She is learning heel without a lead on. He is afraid she will be a bucking bronco but I tell him it is time. She's actually a wonderful dog. She's very independent and plays with all quite well. The dogs rather like her too. I combed up Stormy and well they laid down together in play and Nami made her look like she wasn't combed ever. A mother often indulges. LOL

Mia departs tonight. We will miss her. Murphy and Chester depart tomorrow - will miss them too. Bailey comes for groom and play. It will be fun to see the play!

It is ever so nice that we are seeing dogs again. Even a playdate gives them the socialization they are missing. It is highly enjoyable to see them play like they do.

Covid - begone! I know it will be here for quite sometime but living is part of life now to a degree. That is good too.

Let Me In

Sorry we are so late today. I had 11 dogs to do and well here I am. No swimming and no dog snuggling for me. Raven was unhappy. She kept coming up to the grooming room looking at me and sighing.

Rain coming tomorrow and I have more grooming so tomorrow I won't feel bad about not getting in the pool for a quick dip.

I had the guys rearrange the deck space. I put the couch up on the top deck and the furniture that was there down on the bottom deck. The idea I will use it more but I haven't used it yet.

The dogs are a tight group. Ollie arrived today. Mia departs tomorrow. We always enjoy her visits. It felt like normal with visitors. It has been rather nice. Didn't realize how much I miss normalcy even with the work.

Dogs ran, played and enjoyed today. Each time I finished a dog, I went out to see them. Nathan or Dennis was out with them. they were taking turns with the pups. Me too!

I am tired.... Raven is happy!
