Eight Week Visit

The pups are great. No sign of being sore. Here is a gallery from today. The video is now here. So far its taking its time and says 38 minutes but its going slower than that.

Havanese pups usually range between 2lbs and 4 lbs at the 8 week stage. It is not a determining factor in their health. It's simply like humans. Some of us start out larger and some smaller. To complicate things is a small one can actually play catch-up and a larger one can slow down in growth. Ways of determining is past history in the lines of relatives and if mom has had a litter previously. No one is oversized so I don't think we will have too big. Jeannie is a small gal but solidly built. So I do not think we will have as small as Cali and Cali is small but quite healthy. All are solidly built. These pups are nicely built, great personalities. I am pleased with them.

Thank you everyone for coming. I am going to take a short nap in case I am on night duty with Panda. Nathan gave me sleep last night but really I kept waking up too. Parents are rather like that.

Puppies we believe are now:

Max 3lb 6 oz

Patches 2lb 1/2 ounce

Abby 2lb 13 oz

Someone mentioned weight but when you look at this there is only 18 ounces between Patches and Max. That is nothing in the scheme of things.

What size sweatshirt hoodie is Nathan wearing please?

October 12, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterSue

Large... He likes them roomie - me more so as I wear a x-large. Sleeves are a bit too long but nice and roomy. Are you thinking of getting one yourself? I love the design. By the way I haven't been able to find mine since a week after it arrives. Nathan swears he doesn't have it but.....

Yes, going to order a couple of shirts for presents. The pups are really gorgeous, I can't say which I like best this time.

The shirts and the sweatshirts are of high quality. I would be happy with them if I had one - ooops I do but I think someone is hogging them and telling me not.

We have a secret shirt stealer here, his name is Mr Nobody. Did you.design the picture on the shirts? Is it one of your dogs'?

No, it wasn't me. I believe it actually was a beardie breeder that did the drawings for our standard. She did a nice job.
