We are Now 3

We lost the 1st girl - beautiful colors too. sigh She never did catch a breath when she arrived. She presented herself unusual. She had the water bag first then the placenta and then another water bag and it took a LONG time. Usually the pup comes first then the placenta. I am not doing so well about it and Dennis keeps telling me to go out and lay it to rest. I can't yet but will. Sorry. I thought about not even telling you as I don't want you to feel like I do at this moment.

The 3 remaining are very healthy - all tris - 1 boy, 2 females. They look black and white but they are all tris.

More later when I catch my breath. I have been doing this since last night as Jeannie was agitated all night. Then labor and the loss and then the next 3. The last 2 girls had the same placenta and came out at the same time. Two heads at the same time - it was an oh my moment. Not since Tre and his brother did that happen.

Weights coming after I eat.

Jeannie has eaten. She is washed up. I haven't eaten nor have I caught a breath but I am celebrating the 3 that seem to be of good size and feisty. Weights coming after I try to get Dennis to make me a hot dog.

Oh Darlah, I am so sorry to hear about the first pup. Can't imagine how you must be feeling, especially doing this on your own. The remaining three look lovely! Take care of yourself. How is Jeannie doing? Was she in a terrible amount of pain when the las two heads came out at the same time? Does this mean they are twins?

So sorry to hear about the loss of the little gal. It brought tears to my eyes. It is helpful to share this info with 'us' as we try to imagine what is happening at Talemaker. Glad to hear that Jeannie is resting and eating. Hope that the other three pups are strong and eating well.

Thank you everyone. I am exhausted. Nathan gets home today and we get normalcy.

Sorry to learn of the loss of one little girl. Sounds like placenta previa???

The pups are all beautiful. They look perfect w/ lovely symmetrical markings.

Deb: Yes it was placenta previa - 1st one. Hope to never have one again. Hoping Roxie's (indeed pregnant) and Pandas are uneventful.
