Puppy 6 Week Visit

We had our 6 week puppy visit and I am not sure I will get to the video till tomorrow night. Will try tonight but here is the gallery.

The pups were wonderful laid back beings that they are. Sure they wrestled. Sure they had fun but brace yourself as there is a huge difference between 6 and 8 weeks. They aren't crazy busy but they are more capable and have more energy.

I was helping Roxie feed pups for part of it and getting food for moms.

Jeannie is already starting to wean them as the pups have teeth. She doesn't mind feeding Roxies - you heard that right. We have tried that as we noticed the pups are frantic looking for that next nipple when they only get 1 slot and 2 get a 2nd. Roxie is fine with it and Jeannie is fine. We don't do it all the time but it surely helps Roxie. If she was stressed by it we wouldn't but she isn't. She trusts Jeannie. But she does lick them back up fully to get her scent back on them. :-) They are after all hers not Jeannies. :-)

Thank you to everyone that came. We appreciate you spending time with the pups.

More later....

Really enjoyed looking at the gallery. The pups seemed very social. Your conditioning really makes a huge difference even at 6 weeks old.
Was that Leti socializing with the visitors and the pups ?

Yes, that's the Leti and Roxie was out with them too. Dennis is sleeping and I am really, really tired today.

Poor Jeannie, I may have to cut her hair a bit after the pups are gone so it comes back even. They have really done a number on her. hahahaha

I have a feeling Jeannie will be prolonging her motherhood with Roxie's pups. As Roxie's pups get larger the milk supply demand will increase. Then maybe Roxie can help out Panda. We shall see....

What fabulous pictures of all three puppies and the other dogs. The Havanese breed is so beautiful. Thanks Darlah!

Great photos of Jeannie's puppies. Especially love seeing puppies w/ children. :-) Nice to see Roxie out socializing w/ Leti. (was it Leti or Adele?) Whomever it was, beautiful! Looks a lot like Ms Abs except for the eyes.

Seeing the 1st visit brings back memories. It's a wonderful time never to be forgotten. I just love those wavy fluffy bodies and perky curled tails.
