Dallas' New Family

Click on Photo for Larger View

Now Jeannie is down to 2 boys and the pack of eight is down to 4 boys, 4 girls till Friday. We are going to miss her but we are going to see her. We have video of her having the crew chase her while she had her toy in her mouth. Videos will come later. Pups are all sleeping as we did the visit outside so the pups could tucker themselves out and play.

Nathan left a pen on our outdoor furniture and Jeannie had munched on it. She didn't get to the ink but put your pens up. He didn't realize he had left it there. It happens so fast and to all of us.

Here's a video from yesterday's departure and here is a gallery from today. Look for more later on Spice's blog.

Dallas is fast asleep in her xpen. We played and played and ran around in the backyard. I even started shouting "puppy, puppy, puppy" and ran around just like Nathan as Dallas chased after me. Thank you for raising such wonderful puppies!

How is Jeannie responding to losing her pups to their forever homes? Do you think she really understands? It must be hard on her - at first? Does she look for them or is she aware they are really gone? I've always wondered..

Jeannie is fine. She recognizes they are going as we have her watch as it stops them looking for them. Jeannie is back playing with the adults. I suspect when the last goes and one of Spice's remains she will either try to take that one over or need some refocusing.
