Run, Run

The dogs truly are having fun exploring. They get to go out 4 times a day to simply have fun. They are all running now - both litters as I suspected they would be. I haven't weighed them as they refuse to stay still so I will be interested in seeing how much they weigh at their vet visit. I can't believe that is 2 days away.

They are eating well and seem to be drinking well. How do you tell on drinking? When their urine is dark you know they are not taking in sufficient water. That is true of adult dogs too. Dogs should ALWAYS have water available but free feeding vs. set times makes training difficult.

Who is the bigger dog in the picture ? Interesting that they have similar colouring. I've got a thing about having water available for dogs , always, even more so when the weather gets hotter. We have a bowl on the front and back decks, in the kitchen and basement, and always on a walk. If for some reason I forget the water on a walk, I buy a bottle at a corner store. I'm crazy that way!

I have water on each floor in the house, and of course on the deck.
Kona seems to drink a fair amount of water during the day.

It will be interesting to hear the weights of each pup once you have the vet visit.
I have difficulty telling the two litters apart when they are all running together.

That is Lila! They are both tris.

Kathy: Its not something people usually pay attention to - colour of the urine. If someone works all day it would be good to be aware.

Anne & Kathy, I'm I'm the same! I always watch the water intake and Laci is not a big drinker. So water on every floor of the house and as well the back patio. Although, b/c Laci is not a big drinker - water goes in to her meals and she seems to like it. The Bullwrinkle chews also bring about a thirst so she has a great drink when we allow that little chew.
I also give fruit such as apples that have high water content.
