This is how it works. The human mom stays up with Jeannie downstairs and Dennis sleeps with some of the dogs and Nathan with the rest. I will wake Nathan up when pups are starting to crest. It means when she is done, I will crash. Usually Nathan goes into the guestroom and I sleep with a few dogs but I spend my night creating a wide berth on the bed to keep mom close but no one close to her. I spend all night long checking her bottom to see if she is close. Mom also wants to move around so I spend a lot of time following her around. I am hoping this works better. I will let you know when it is done.

It still means I won't sleep but mom will feel more relaxed and maybe get the sleep she needs before she has pups coming. This will hopefully give her more energy. I will still be the beyond tired one but maybe mom won't.

I had her outside in the cool air earlier and she did sleep. I am glad. Wish I was able to but they kept letting dogs out to join us so there went that.

I also have her tied up everywhere so she won't get as dirty and we are not pushing hair out of the way when pups come.

I have had to clean Jeannie's bottom now going on 6 times. It means she thinks she has to go as she is feeling pushing. She is digging but pups are not close yet. That can change anytime or not.

It's going to be a long night, I imagine.

It looks like it will be a long night for you. Hope someone gets to sleep so they can take over when your body gets exhausted. Wishing everyone the best.
