2 Days Old: Added More Shots to Gallery

Today's gallery. Did you know that when pups are tanking up (getting an abundance of milk) their tails go up? When they first start suckling they are priming the milk slot and then the milk is released and the tails go up - ah the mother lode. :-)

Pups are doing well. They are gaining well.

First born birth was 6-3/4 191 g. This morning after 2 days he is 8-3/4oz and 250g

2nd born gal at birth was 6oz 171g. She is now 7-3/4oz 222g

3rd born tri like Jeannie was 6oz 171g. He is now 8-1/8oz 233g.

This will and does change from day to day. All we care about is the gain. Did they gain. If they are gaining at this point they are doing well and getting enough nutrition. These pups are mighty active.

Jeannie still has loose bowels (normal). It usually lasts for 3-4 days but I did give her something to settle her tummy. She is happy. She is eating. All is well.

Here's the videos:

I agree the puppies are sooo cute! It looks like they have little round bellies. They are certainly well cared for.

Yes, they are gaining very well when usually you lose the first 24 hours. Despite Jeannie's upset tummy they are doing really well. She's an amazing mommy too.

Oh my goodness, they are beauties! Those tails up are something else. I can actually see a difference in their size from two days ago. Wonderful!

We can never get enough of them! Love their sweet faces, the pinky paws, those little tails up. The picture of Jeannie and the boy with the bellies up is priceless. Jeannie is such a lovely mother,so gentle and caring for her babies. They are shining!

Jeannie does like to 'hide' her babies when she leaves the enclosure.

Yes, she wants to make them safe.

I love the close ups of the pups because they really show all the colours coming through. Does one of the boys have a tiny white dot on his ear?
