Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 4:33PM Take a calendar out. Count 63 days from February 17th. That was her first tie. April 24th is the 1st expected date of whelping but eggs can be sitting there up to 2 days so that means her first expected due date is April 22nd. It is a + or minus 2 both ways. I miscalculated earlier saying earliest was 20th. It's actually 22nd.
Her last tie was February 22nd. 63 days from that is February 27th.
Earliest I expect kicking is 1 to 2 weeks before whelping. Even with 2 weeks (usually it is just 1 week to 10 days) it is still too early to feel kicking.
Two weeks from the earliest date possible is April 8th.
By feeling from April 8th on each day, I will get an 'idea' of when she is due. But she could have taken on the last date as well.
Xrays will be more telling.
Another way of predicting is to take the longest ties plus and minus 2 days. Her longest tie was February 18th but she also had a long tie on February 22nd. That could simply mean he realized she was going out and best get it before it disappears. That happens too.
