Jeannie had a bath. Her head and face hair is starting to come back in after the pups chewed it. 

Really are these poses necessary?

Two weeks before her first due date I will be checking for kicking. Will let you know when it happens. Oops that's today. We will get a better idea when she is due when the kicking begins.

Hi Nathan and Darlah,

I hope you are both doing well. Look how cute our Max looks with a little face trim. Max is so funny, his teeth have started to fall out which I really thought due to the size I would never see, but three fell out last week, I heard them drop and watched him play with them - I have to say I wish I had a video camera to capture it - it was so funny.

Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing Jeannie's new puppies

Jeannie is becoming a butterball. Nathan thinks Spice is larger but I think Jeannie is. Jeannie's body isn't as long as Spices. So we will see how it all unfolds. 

Two Updates Today: Gallery Added

How does Nathan demand so much attention. They all look at him with such love. Ms Clarity was a Bee_atch today but she soon lost the attitude. I think she just wanted to say my Daddy. Well lady he belongs to lots - get used to it. hahahaha

We had fun seeing the humans and the pups. I created a fast and not edited gallery so what you see is what you get. Sorry but no time. I still have a dog to wash if you can believe and I want to snuggle with dogs.

Jeannie did better than I thought. She even played and talked - yes talked to Angela and rolled for Liz wanting her tummy rubbed. I thought she would be a grump but she was better than I thought and rather enjoyed the company. Me too!

You can already feel her tummy and Spice too. 

Thank you ever so much for coming. We will have to do it again when the heats are over. :-)

Can't wait till its warmer so we can have everyone over.

Thu 8 Jan 2015	Sperm travel searching for a mature ripened eggs.
Thu 8 Jan 2015 - Fri 9 Jan 2015	Spermatozoa reach the eggs in the oviducts.
Fri 9 Jan 2015 - Sat 10 Jan 2015	Fertilisation occurs in the oviducts which lead from the ovaries to the uterus.
Sat 10 Jan 2015 - Mon 12 Jan 2015	Fertilised eggs migrate down the oviducts and into the uterine horns. The migration continue to enable even spacing of the embryos. During this migration the eggs will grow into a blastocystes.
Sun 18 Jan 2015 - Tue 20 Jan 2015	The blastocystes implant in the wall of the uterus.
Sun 18 Jan 2015 - Sun 1 Feb 2015	The blastocystes will grow into an embryos. During the next two weeks the important organs will develop.
Wed 21 Jan 2015 - Wed 28 Jan 2015	Dams nipples begin to pink enlarge. The fur on the dams belly and around the nipples may become thinner.
Tue 27 Jan 2015 - Tue 3 Feb 2015	Morning sickness might occur due to hormonal changes or stretching and distension of the uterus. Dam may appear a bit apathetic. She may be off her feed for a while and vomit from time to time. Feeding the dam several meals spaced throughout the day might help. Your veterinarian may want to prescribe a drug to relax the uterus.
Sun 1 Feb 2015 - Thu 5 Feb 2015	An experienced person (a breeder or a veterinarian) can tell by careful palpation whether the dam is pregnant. It's now the best time to do this because the embryos are walnut-sized now and easy to count.
Wed 4 Feb 2015	Start to increase the dams food ration. Don't overfeed, excessive weight gain should be avoided. The fetuses are now and are fully developed miniature dogs.
Tue 10 Feb 2015	The Dams abdomen starts to get larger.
Fri 20 Feb 2015	It's very easy now to feel the puppies, counting them might be a bit more difficult.
Mon 23 Feb 2015 - Tue 3 Mar 2015	Dam begins to spend a lot more time in self-grooming. Her breasts become even more swollen. She may become a bit restlessness and begin to search for a suitable place to have her puppies.
Wed 25 Feb 2015	The dam might lose her appetite during this period. Her abdomen can be crowded with puppies. It is better to feed several smaller meals spaced throughout the day. You can easily detect abdominal movement now.
Wed 25 Feb 2015 - Thu 12 Mar 2015	Nipples and vulva should be gently cleaned with warm water, you might want to trim the hairs surrounding the nipples, to allow easier access for the puppies to suck.
Sat 7 Mar 2015 - Tue 10 Mar 2015	Milky fluid may be expressed from the nipples.
Sun 8 Mar 2015	You might want to start taking the dams rectal temperature each morning and evening.
Wed 11 Mar 2015	Twelve to 24 hours before she is due to deliver, the dams rectal temperature may drop from 101 to 98 degrees. Clear discharge from the vulva might occur.
Thu 12 Mar 2015	Expected date of whelp. Of course this is just an average. Whelping may take place from the 59th to the 65th day. Puppies born before the 58th day will probably be too young to survive.

Realize this is based on the first mating. Add 8 more days to the dates above to account for her last mating. That means we are expecting from the 12th to the 20th give or take 2 or 3 days. I will know more when I feel kicking the last week. She has passed the morning sickness stage by a couple of weeks now. But so has Spice. :-)

Morning Sickness

Hmm experiencing morning sickness. I just decided to trim her up. She's still long. I just took off all those ends and cleaned up her feet. Earliest delivery would be the 12th of March give or take a few days.

Patches is so observent and I have a sneaky suspicion that she's like Phantom. You need to be silly crazy to get her going as food doesn't excite her but next week I am going to bring a variety of stuff to try. She is making great progress.
