The Games are Fun

Leti greets everyone with so much excitement it is unreal. It is as if you are her long lost friend. I think Cali is slightly jealous so I am acutely aware and make sure I snuggle with both all the time.

Leti hates her eyes cleaned. She really hates it. We are working on that. She's not crazy about her private areas getting groomed either but we are conditioning her daily. I haven't placed her on her back to groom yet but I suspect she will be one that will give me a hard time but we shall persist as show dogs must learn to relax and be brushed on their back.

We will let you know how that adventure goes but I believe in tackling one irritation at a time and today its cleaning the eyes. When she stops complaining about that we will start moving to placing her on her back to be groomed.

With all the young dogs it must be hard to give them all equal amounts of love.

Kathy: You would be surprised. Between the 3 of us everyone gets hugs every single day at various parts of the day. Plus each night before bed I clean eyes, check ears and snuggle with each and every one of them individually. It's a ritual that I NEVER miss. I do it during grooming too. About an hour and a half ago I picked up each and every single dog and settled them into my neck for a warm hug for no reason. That's not a rare moment. I do it every chance I get. We do it during tv watch too. They drape themselves all over us. Hugs are never short changed here with the dogs and that includes visitors. I don't want should have/could haves. They are truly very important to me!

Darlah, I do know that you give your 'fur babies' lots of love, it is just who you, Nathan and Dennis are.
I see the visitors also snuggling with Nathan, either on his shoulder or in his lap.
