Vet Visit for Leti

Leti went to the vets to get her shots. She is now 4.67 oz up from 3lb 10 oz. She is growing well. We will see later if she is sore but for now she is playing up a storm.

This was a photo of her and Cali after they came in from the wet snow.

Leti's fave toy is an oversized set of teething keys. Actually everyone wants it so I need to replace them as Leti is teething. What toys are you using for teething?

I was thinking about getting this one. Sophie the Giraffe - has anyone tried it out?

I am also trying to get the Teether Tugz but my local Walmart doesn't have it as I think it will actually be good for the wee pups. If you see them at your local Walmart or other store, please let me know.

On the hunt for Lamaze toys too as ours are getting rather old. Just send me a mail and tell me where you saw them. I find the baby toys really excite not only the pups but te older dogs too and tehy seem to last longer than some dog toys. Does anyone else opt for baby toys too?

Darlah, are the oversize keys made by Nylabone or are they babies teething keys.

The Bullwrinkles were a great hit for Laci and remain to be #1 for chewing. As a matter of fact the solitary one. I have credited them for Laci never taking to chewing anything other than that. It's these or she is just a perfect dog. :-) She loves her squeakies to play and run fetch with but she doesn't chew rubber or rubber-like toys. I started out w/ small BW's but when she could eat one in a day I went up to about index finger size and one lasts nearly a week.
She loves the comfort of a stuffed toy to hold in her mouth. It has to be the right texture and on that I have not quite figured out. When this one falls apart we have trouble. It's already been sewn a few times.

Yahoo snow - we've been having snow fun early today!

Debi, I was wondering if you could tell me where you buy the Bullwrinkles. I found them on the Bullwrinkles website, but you have to buy large quantities at one time. Can you buy this brand in any of the pet stores in smaller quantities. Also, what size is it called. I have to find out about what is best for when I get my future puppy. It looks like they are made in Canada which is great.

Diane - I purchase mine from PetValu. I prefer to get the ones that are wrapped for sanitary reasons. They don't label size but they are displayed at my store in containers segregated by size. The larger ones I get and there are some much larger are about $5. each, but if they last a week and keep Laci happy it's worth it to me! I should add that the ones I get are individually wrapped. The ones in pkgs are not Bullwrinkles. Most are pork and it's not recommended for puppies and I choose not to give pork at all.

Diane: No wonder why I can't find them. I do believe they are the Nylabone keys. They are so highly coveted here that it is ridiculous. I need to get a replacement or 2 as these are rather a mess.

Debbie, thanks for the information. I would rather buy just a couple at a time for just one dog. The ones on Bullwrinkles website you would have to buy in large quantities and you could tie up 100.00 dollars or so.
Darlah, I did see a picture on your blog of Leti the other day and she was carrying around the keys. I thought I saw the same ones at Petsmart, but I wasn't sure.
I was at Petsmart a while ago in anticipation of getting my puppy (I know I am looking a little early), and I remembered seeing the Nylabone toys, some of them looked pretty good and come in different sizes which is good. I was surprised that there weren't many good toys there or good quality toys there for little puppies, for such a big store. The baby toys you suggested above look really good.
