4 Days Old

Mother's work is never done. Does she look tired? She is but now she is venturing out when pups are sleeping to eat and to see what is going on. Moms that never leave the pen probably feel tied down. So, I try to give her balance and make sure she knows the pups are safe. For first time moms it takes a bit to trust that they are okay. It's not that they don't have a bond with us but mother's instinct is very strong especially with maternal moms. Leti is very maternal. She adores them. But I now applaud her when she gets up and out to cool off or eat or go do her duty. I have made sure she gets her massages at this time too. She LOVES that.

I noticed Leti guiding one of her pups to the milk bar. She amazes me at times.

But she is tired and is learning how to sleep between too. Here is today's gallery

It is so interesting to see Leti protecting and covering her pups. The other Moms were more open and laided back when they feed their pups it seems. She is so adoring and she does look tired but happy. Loved watching the videos.

Yes, being a Mom is hard work. Even when Leti's eyes are wide open, I still think she looks tired. She also looks so grown-up now. I swear she went from looking puppyish before having her babies to looking like a mature young lady.

Fantastic videos! I loved how Leti looked up to Jonathan as if to say thank you for massaging me! Leti is an amazing mom!

Karen: So true

Thank you Mary, Diane, Ronnie, Angela!

Jonathan took Leti to obedience class and practiced with her. It's interesting how that bond begins with class and then continues. She literally lights up when she sees him.
