Less than 12 Hours Old: Video Added

They are either holding their weight or gained and less than 12 hours. Dennis woke me up to tell me the creamy gold wasn't eating. I said he is the most aggressive eater and needs to sleep between. He went oh. Nathan shot up - what's wrong. We repeated it. The dogs were barking. I have had about 4 hours sleep. Trying to get both sets of pups eating while Dennis said sorry I am fried - off to bed was interesting plus bedding changes etc. Dennis hadn't slept for a long time. It could have been me crawling into bed.

When he gets up I will get Scruffy and Pepper ready to go home tonight with baths etc.

Roxie refuses to leave them for a second. She is so happy! This is her this morning.

I will get a gallery up of all the photos I took this morning and attach it here.

The 2 tris one is a silver tri and one is a brown tri - thankfully as it would be interesting to tell them apart.

WARNING:

Here is the gallery. It's the entire process. Birthing is messy so you get to see it all. If that offends you do not look. They bleed, the placenta is blackish green and makes a mess. We clean as we go but our first focus is getting the sac off the pups, cleaning out any congestion and getting them dry and on mom to eat. The colostrum is so important. They need it and the most benefits is in that first 12 hours. This crew ate and did wonderful. You can even hear them eating. They are strong ad noisy if behind their mom. Roxie looks at me as if to say - Mom can you put him/her in the front of me please as I have all these others I will knock off.

Pups are already napping between feedings.

Not sure how much I can do the videos without an auto camera. You see I have to load it in, convert, upload to youtube and then link here. I have 2 cameras but really need oen at the door. I may have to do without the front door and have Dennis put the front door one in here or you will miss a great deal. Then I have to save and get one for the door. Can't be running for solicitors that can't or refuse to read signs. When Dennsi is up I wil try to get him to put the front door one here.

Here is the short video of them feeding this morning.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL ! So happy all went smoothly! Katie and I checked Roxie's blog before we went to bed. So katie has 4 brothers and 2 sisters now. Wow!

I find it so interesting that with the same parents the colouring is so completely different in all 8 dogs! Katie is white with apricot tipped ears, her brother is black and white and then this litter of 6 each different again! Will be easy to tell them apart:-)

Beautiful' healthy looking pups and Roxie looks tired but oh so happy!

Timing worked out well so Nathan can go to his friends funeral tomorrow.

Give a kiss to Katie's mommy from Katie.

Take care

Ruthie and Katie

Yes, Nathan can go - he was going to even if she didn't. The issue is I can't. There is no way as Dennis will be tired and so I am it while he is out and I suspect it will be an all day thing. It will be takeout for sure or shall I say delivery.

Its a lot of work juggling the 2 litters when the little ones are so young.
A shower - what is that - hoping later today.

No black and whites are interesting so they pulled from the mom the colors not Kat. It will be interesting to see what her sister Panda does this time.
I am very tired but did have 4 hours sleep.

Roxie is very proud. She didn't even whimper the entire process. The first born was a tight one coming out.

Congratulations to Roxie and all of you on the birth of her beautiful pups! They are gorgeous, but every litter is and they are all so special. Roxie looks so happy as she should and having 6 babies she should be so proud.

It will be fun to watch these pups grow and see their personalities.

Will they all be swimmers like their Mom?

Take care y Talemaker Humans. It is good Nathan can go to the funeral tomorrow and represent your family. I know Darlah you wish you could go to, but his wife and family know your thoughts are with them and you have to be with the new lives that surround you now, and that is where you have to be right now, and hopefully his wife can come over soon and see the pups and have a happy moment in her time of grief.

You give so much happiness to so many!

Hi Darlah

Hope all is well at the talemaker household? Things seem awfully quiet over there!

Ruth

Ruth, I was thinking the same thing. I am hoping Darlah was napping.

Nathan is at a funeral till tonight with people going to the airport, graveside visit, house visit and take someone back to the airport. He won't be back till tonight. Dennis had but 2 hours sleep. I had a dog to wash to depart. I had pups to feed, cleanup their pens, laundry, cold Chinese to eat and I have another dog to wash. I have to upload all the videos and do the blog. I have to groom. Soon Jeannie's pups will be eating. Then wash a dog, fold laundry and on and on.
