8 Days Old

Click on Photo for Larger ViewPups are now enjoying strokes and touches. They do kiss. It's so nice! They are a tad behind the Adele pups on weight gain now. They seem a bit more active than Adele's were at this stage. When I say a tad. I mean literally and ounce or two.

They still continue to gain, move, snuggle with mom and life is good. Can't wait till their eyes are open but we have time for that.

I am keenly aware that if I place dark blankets or pads with these pups you almost can't see them.

I love so many of these videos: Roxie looks beautiful after her bath, she is an old pro, so relaxed lying on her back feeding, the pups are so actively eating and the best imho is the toy hugging - all so very sweet.

I can't help but think I am looking at Patches when she was this age when I see the little black and white boy. They look so similar to me. If we were to be blessed with this pup, I would have to turn them over to tell who was who, hahahaha!

Catching up on all the posts. You really see the difference between the two litters given how much room Adele's pups were taking up in the helping box.
Yes, please ... No more dark blankets for this crew.

Roxie is a beautiful mom, so loving and attentive. I love watching all the videos, even if I'm a day late sometimes and even if I'm not on the list for a puppy. Totally fascinating to watch. Thanks Darlah for taking the time to share those experiences.
