Pups are Coming

1st - First one born at 4am. He's a red/apricot sable with a dark tail. He's 5oz 170g.

Nathan got to sleep till 4am. I have not slept - Dennis either. wow. First one was born then Dennis woke up Nathan. It's been a long few days. Feel sick I am so tired. Caffeine here I come.

2nd - Next one is a boy born at 453am. He is 6-7/8oz 196g He is either black or very dark brown and sable. Have to wait till dried to know.

3rd - Next one born is yet another boy. He was born at 543am. He is an red/apricot sable. He is 5-3/8oz 153g

4th- Next one born is a red/apricot sable. He was born at 620am. He weighs 6-5/8oz 189g

5th one born is the smallest and is a girl. She appears to be a brown sable. She was born at 713am and weighs 4-3/8 oz 127g

Now we wait for the 6th and then I go to bed. This means videos and gallery will be later. I need to sleep at least 2 hours so I can be less than a zombie. Nathan got 6 hours last night. Dennis 3 hours. We are in great shape.

This all began with us in bed (us Roxie, me and several dogs. I barricaded a section off and if I closed my eyes she kicked me literally. Her water also burst on my bed. I will clean that after I get some sleep. Good thing we have other beds.

Okay at 821am the 6th one was born and it is a boy - red/apricot sable. When I go to bed, Nathan will have to figure out distinguishing features or markings or something cause its's going to be interesting knowing who is whom. We can do so now as we know their weights.

6th born boy born at 821am weighs 6-5/8 188g

After this pup is fully out, Nathan will change all the bedding. I have to wash Roxie's back end and dry her and then crawl into bed.

If any of this doesn't make sense - oh well. I consider this a miracle that I could do it. hahahahaha Yeah, I am that tired. Catch you later. Now off to wash Roxie.

Oh my goodness puppies! Never a dull moment at Talemaker. I can't even imagine how exhausted you must all be.

They are beautiful! So sorry Roxie picked the middle of the night to give birth. You guys have got to be walking zombies at this point. Looks like things are going well with the births. Hope you all find a way to get some zzzs in.

I don't think I've ever seen red in your puppy descriptions.
What beautiful colours! I think you need a puppy nurse to come in
and relieve you for 12 hours of sleep.

Yes, first time and no doubt will be the last. We did once take on Teaser when we had 2 litters for Paula but this has been crazy. Too much juggling with no sleep. Just had 2.5 hours sleep. Feel better - not whole but better.

April 26, 2016 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Congratulations again, pups are absolutely beautiful! Well done canine moms. You ladies did good. I've always been partial to solid brown or black pups.
Wow! 19 puppies, Nathan, Darlah, and Dennis, you guys are going to be so busy.

April 26, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterGidget's Mom

absolutely beautiful colouring. makes me think we need one more havaneezer, as we call them at our place. can't wait to see them fluffed up in a few weeks!

April 26, 2016 | Unregistered Commenteralene

Audrey: 18 pups - 9 Spice, 6 Roxie, 3 Jeannie. Yes, we are going to be really busy. Do not think we will ever be this crazy again. 2 litters at a time a week apart is better. But this way they will have an easy time in integrating. We were only planning two. Going to be fun getting them in the pool.

April 26, 2016 | Registered CommenterDarlah

OMG the pups are gorgeous. Beautiful colouring. Thank you Angela. Yes born on my birthday and Rusty's siblings. Roxie has beautiful pups as they all do. 18 wonderful puppies. Darlah you are my idol. I don't know how you can function on so little sleep. Congratulations to the Talemaker crew. I was so busy watching the Spice videos that I just got on Roxie's blog. What a wonderful, exciting day it has been.

April 26, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterRonnie

How is Roxie?

Another amazing litter of puppies. Another amazing demonstration of the love, tenderness and dedication that you and Nathan have for your dogs and their babies.

Ronnie: Happy belated birthday. I am sorry I missed giving you a Happy Birthday on your day. I think I was a little distracted. Forgive me! Hope it was the best!

April 27, 2016 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Darlah thank you so much. I think you were just a bit busy. But the best thing that happened was Roxie's puppies. So, so cute.
