17 Days Tonight: New Digs Videos Now Up
It's been a VERY busy day. As you can see we created new digs for the pups. They were not exercising their legs enough as they were so confined so we opened up their walking space.
They didn't react at all. Just looked around, walked around and went to sleep. I wonder how they will react when they get up. Well they did react. What the hey is this. They played, the observed and they whimpered. All natural and then they fell asleep. You will see those videos tomorrow, I suppose. I am behind on blogs enough today.
I placed a bed in the xpen but Adele sat on it with her pups in it so out that went. I think she was hiding them as it was her that felt a bit - now what is this you are doing with my pups. So she went into protective mode hiding them. She also tried to dig up the blankets and cover them but I said no.
This is new to her and she wants her babies safe. She will adjust and actually enjoy having more space with them.
Oh and Nathan thought I should clean my silk flowers. Yes dear, on my list but now? Yes, they are done geez.
Last night and Today's Videos:
Pups Eating in New Digs
Roxie wants to take over every chance she can get so I have blocked her out of the pen. Adele needs to feel the pups are safe inb this new surroundings first. Oh but Roxie persists so the gate is now closed.
Trying to Cover
But I told her no so she stopped. I had just organized everything and she was going to mess it all up. hahaha
The rest of these are before the new digs.

The new digs look nice and roomy and very comfy. No rails to hide under - that may take some getting used to.
It's a Scary newness usually. But it triggers their coping skills and it is necessary. They need changes and simply put they didn't have enough room to get exercise.
Adele looks like she is saying, "now how do I protect them when they are so far away from each other". They are really getting along with their walking. All so very sweet. I don't remember the last few Moms being as protective as Adele but I may be wrong.
It's Adele's first litter. It happens with all the moms especially the 1st time around and they don't want anyone near their pups till they are walking etc. It's norm but Adele was trying to figure out how she could keep them safe.
Yeah! Now the fun really starts.
I liked how Adele stopped feeding to get up and look for the pup sleeping all by themself on the other blanket ... Very sweet.
