Three Weeks Old

Click on Photo for Larger ViewI tried to get there but then I fell asleep. What can I say?

Pups are 3 weeks today and I am having so much fun with them. They do give kisses. They love you climbing into the pen and they love belly rubs.

Does it seem like 3 weeks to you?

Here are the videos:

So cute! It must be nice to cuddle and kiss those babies! When do they get their teeth? It looked like (maybe) Adele was wincing a wee bit during feeding.

No teeth yet. I have had them getting teeth at 3 weeks and Kat didn't have a single tooth on his 8 week visit that I had them xray to see if something was wrong. By 10 weeks he had them all. So the answer is, could be soon, could not. How is that for definitive? They are chewing on the xpen so it may be sooner than later in their case. We shall see. At this point I check daily. Mom is also not bruised and they do get that way when teeth come in. Moms want to wean them then. I find in 'most' cases it starts around the 4 week mark. It is why the introduction of food at that point helps mom.

I love that photo, so cute. You can see you were a great Mom, Darlah, the way you are with the pups, so lovely to see, thank you.

Love to watch you with the pups. Truly wonderful to watch. The pups are so lucky to have you, such good care and attention.

Nice to see you interacting with the pups, Darlah (I know, you are usually on the other end of the camera). Fun to see them reacting to you.

Yeah I actually spend the most time with them. I just usually film Nathan doing the playing. I get them from the start during the day until bedtime about 98% of the time. When we start taking them out Nathan does the play sessions some of the time and Dennis does it other times when I am filming. So you never see me but they know me well. :-) I just left the video on - actually forgot it was on and went oh well why not. :-)

Why not is absolutely right. The videos with you in them interacting with the pups and Moms the way you do are really precious. They show the love the pups get from birth non-stop from the human and canine Moms.
