Patches and the Pups: Videos Added

Usually when we try to match a puppy with an existing dog we put them together with all and see who connects with them. We need to do this a couple of times to see if the fit is right. If this mad house of pups doesn't work, we do a one on one with each puppy. Sometimes all of them at once scares them. At first Patches thought they were gremlins and then the play started with this one. Patches sniffed all. Even attempted to play with a couple but today the attraction was with this one. See the gallery.

We did have to remove the moms as they were spending too much time making sure Patches didn't hurt their babies.

Can't wait to see who ends up with Patches. Are there others that are being matched for a second pup?

What an amazing amount of effort you go to to make sure the matches are right.
It must be so fascinating to watch the process

Looks like you and the pups had a good time, patches. Can't get over the resemblance between Patches and the on eRoxie pup. I'm sure there are distinct differences close U.S., but from a distance, they look like twins.

I can't wait either, Anne. Just love how Patches interacted with them, she is so very gentle. It seems like we had a mutual admiration society going on with the one in the main pic! It's all so exciting.

Wow what a great interaction Patches and this little golden one had. So cute.

Of course Darlah and Nathan have been so aware of which pup will make the best addition as Patches sibling!

Yes, Darlah and Nathan have recognized Patches' personality from day one. What they told me when she was 6 - 10 weeks has turned out 100%. I am so glad they are integral to this process. And, I am so very grateful they are letting Patches get to know the pups so she will be ready and accepting when the pup comes home, so very thoughtful and knowledgeable.

Really enjoyed watching Patches interact with Adele's pups, especially the little golden one. They were already play bowing toward each other. What an amazing process match pups to the personality of the existing canine resident.
