Close But No Cigar
Is that how the saying goes? It was suggested that we do another progesterone on Friday (what's $$ heh) and most likely Nathan will head up on Friday afternoon after results are in. The only way he wouldn't go on Friday but delay it a day is if she has not started ovulation. He will breed Friday, Saturday and Sunday then return home. If the optimal day turns out to be Saturday, he will drive up Saturday and he will stay till Monday. Isn't this fun?
He will also be bringing back Envy for Roxie. See Roxie's blog.
We now have Jeannie, Adele, Roxie and Spice in heat but not Leti. hehe Slowly going insane.

Exciting times although a lot of driving for Nathan but you guys know what you're doing. I hope the breeding is successful.
It is why we are doing the progesterone. This way we do not miss. This is turning out to be the most costly breeding, hehehe
Oh, she is lovely!
It sounds like Nathan is Sudbury bound.
Kona's sniffing around Roxie on Monday was accurate. He does love the girls.
You are going to be very, very busy over the next few weeks, and then the count downs will begin.
Will Roxie swim while she is pregnant ?
Yes, Kona's nose knows. :-)
Roxie will swim till she doesn't want to. How long depends on how long the pool is open for.It is doubtful it will be open when she has pups. Have a feeling summer won't last that long.
It's really eye opening for me this whole process involved in breeding, ablest the way you two tackle it! Never dreamed it was this much work. From beginning to puppies going home. I have a lot of respect for you both.
It is a lot of work and an emotional roller coaster ride too. Its a process. They go home, you see them happy and you can be happy they are happy. I think its sort of like the kids going to university and moving away. Then I have a fellow breeder say to me, Darlah they are just dogs. They aren't 'just' anything to me. They are what makes me smile.
I personally don't think that the words just dogs belong together in any sentence.
In our family, dogs are truly a part of the family.
I sure wouldn't want to do any business at all with a breeder that refers to such wonderful beings as 'just dogs'. I would not expect that from a breeder, a puppy miller, yes!!
Not a puppy miller - a different mindset like a farmer. You love them but they aren't like your kids. Don't tell my kids but they are like my kids. :-)
