Adjustment

Tosca went from not sure about this white stuff to embracing it. She is always one of the last in now along with Inula. What happened, Tosca?

Check out the gallery. Not many photos but it really is icy out there so we need to be careful.

There's something really lovely about the outside pictures of the doggies in your winter garden ... I'd print and frame a lot of them.
You have a lot of bones and don't cut everything down in the fall, so the garden retains a lot of interest, yet it's the dogs that stand out in the photos because the garden isn't "full" (I'm not articulating it well, but I'm sure you get what I mean, Darlah - being the very creative person you are)! I'm going to take a cue from you and get out in my own backyard with Clarity & my camera.

So nice that Tosca is embracing snow - opens up a whole world of fun for her

Yes, garden interest - always nicer in winter with some height and really you don't need to cut it all back. Dogs like it that way and so do the birds.

agree - I only cut back the stuff that goes mushy, everything else stays standing until spring including the seed pods for the birds.

I plant for winter interest too, like the traditional role of the corkscrew hazel family and such in Canadian gardens. What beautiful pics, I love seeing the dogs enjoying the weather. It must be lovely and fresh for them. Patches plays with Radar so much, she actually asks to go out just to lie on the ground to cool her belly. We don't have the heat very high either.
