5 Days Old

Well, we have started giving Adele a break. She wants to feed the pups every half hour and they will not grow sufficiently unless they sleep between. She did this the last time so it's not as big of a struggle keeping her out as she understands now. I let her in an hour in so she can give them love but not feed and now we are feeding by a timer every 2 hours. Pups are eating better and she has more milk. They actually get less milk feeding nonstop and they expel too much energy that they can't gain as much as they would if they just slept. Mom has to let them sleep though. :-) Do any of you human moms know this craziness?

This move helps the pups and mom. It works. Pups need sleep and moms need sleep and a break.

Here is today's gallery.

Adele is doing well. Sometimes she eats tons. Sometimes she wants to be hand fed. She is in princess mode. We love her dearly.

Here are today's videos:

I love how the pups stretch, squirm, cuddle, sleep and repeat. Ahhh...to be a puppy, it's a good life. Thank you for sharing and all that you do!

What sweet babies. It is incredibly terrific there was nothing wrong with Adele and she delivered those babies naturally with your help of course Darlah. Talemaker is soooo caring. We really appreciate how wonderful you all are.
