Two Weeks Old

Can you believe we are now 2 weeks old. No eyes open yet. No slits either so we shall see when they decide to say hello world! Here is today's gallery.

Pups are eating really well. They are back at 3 hours. That is good as I managed to get grooming done between. I am still playing recovery from night shift. Dennis has this duty for another 2 weeks and then he can get back to day shift. I hope they are eating food then or it may be 3 weeks.

All pups are over a pound now.

Adele is eating well and being extra attentive as is Jeannie. They have great moms.

Here are the videos:

They are absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the close ups of their little faces, such precious puppies!!! How would you describe their colouring, sometimes they look lighter and others times darker.

IT depends on the lighting in the room. We will see what colour they are as they mature.

Beauties

It's beautiful that the Havanese have such a variety of colours.

It will be interesting (won't know till a bit older) if these beauties will become apricots or keep the darker colour. The dark mask on the boy is what Adele had. The masks fades out and becomes tipping and goes altogether if cut short. The dad retained his colour. That entire litter did but these are a different colour. I suspect they will be apricots but really too early to know yet. About 6 to 8 weeks you see the roots and it is telling.Adele and River go dark and light apricot and River has a variety of shades in her.

But its not about colour. :-)

I love that about Havanese. You love them for their personalities. I watched the Saffron puppies change markings and they got even more delicious (if that's possible). I can't wait to see ALL 8 in a month or so.... what a gorgeous bunch.
