17 Days Old: Updated

Last night this boy opened his eyes. Here is the gallery I took this morning. His colouring is starting to look more and more like his dads. As you can see his nose pigment is just starting to come in.

Today I had to give the Adele pups the Jeannie whelping box as it has a higher railing. Adele's pups were getting stuck under it and crying over and over again. As soon as I gave them the extra height space they crawled right under without a peep. Jeannie pups got another one we had without railings. This is how I started my day. I did it all myself. Nathan stayed with the dogs eating breakfast and I redid the 2 whelping boxes. Dennis is in bed sleeping.

Here is the update:

Puppies have been quiet all day except you hear these tiny squeaks when they wake up letting mom know they are hungry. I wonder who will open their eyes next. I keep looking.

Here is today's gallery.

I also took a video of their late morning feeding while watching the Macy's parade. I took it with my video camera so you get to hear noises and see them upclose and personal.

Darlah I love the video and your comments. It is amazing that Adele isn't sorry from the tugging of the pups. I love them so much. Thanks.

It's how they prime them to get her to let more milk down. As they demand more moms will eat more and produce more milk. Then when she can't sufficiently we put them on food to help her and they start the process of eventually eating just food and drinking just water.
