Playing is Fun

They really love these tunnels. They hide, they jump out and they have fun. They are cat tunnels but the dogs, even the adults enjoy them. They also love the houses here.  But get a large if so inclined. You can even put their name on it. You can get it in all colours as she lets you pick the fabric. They also love the shark and fish beds. She is a local person who creates them and mails them to your house. I tell you this in case you are interested. We throw ours in the wash and they last and last.

Now for the not so nice news.

One of our pups during a busy holiday got out the front door and got hit by a car and died. It is why we have a gate across our entryway. Be aware that you have to look at your house and your fence line in case you have exits. This can happen in a split second.

Check out the videos here.

We will also be signing up for a training class. If you are interested in joining us let us know and please let us know if a particiular night is bad. Class is more fun with siblings. It just is.

Pups had a great time today and Dennis is about to take them out to play again.

As soon as possible, after you get your puppy selection, please send us the pertinent info Nathan requests as I have to do the paperwork. Do me a favour and send nathan@potechin.com a mail and copy me darlah@potechin.com

This way you will save me nagging Nathan to check his email. hahahaha

Looks like we have a request for Thursday so the 1st I imagine will go then. Wow. That is only 4 days away. I have paperwork and bags to create.

Exciting times indeed!

So sorry to hear about the accident over the holidays. Certainly one of my biggest fears. Even a great recall Or sit stay is no guarantee as they can move so fast especially when excited. I have gates at my front door, and even a double gate outside as we face a busy street. I also keep my outside back gate locked with a key as we have a back alley. The fence line was also reinforced as those little bodies can wiggle through the tiniest spots!

My heart just breaks for the family that lost their dog ... they are part of our families. Accidents do happen and it's very tragic. I agree, Gerda, I had one scare years ago that made me make immediate adjustments. It only takes seconds.

So sorry to hear of the loss of a puppy. Which litter was the little one from? Or was it not one of the puppies. So sad. Take care.

Oh no, I just read this blog. Those poor, poor people. My heart breaks for them. I am so careful about preventing anything untoward happening to my dogs. You are right Darlah, it can happen in a second. And, it can happen to anyone. Gates are the perfect solution or a porch enclosure like we have.

We had a Westie mix who just after we first got him squeezed his little body out of a six inch opening at the bottom or our gate. It amazed us how he got through that seemingly very small space. Fortunately our neighbour's son brought him back unscathed before we got up the stairs and out the gate. Needless to say we went around our whole backyard and made sure there were no spaces at all to squeeze through.

I feel absolutely sick for that poor family ! It is a terrible experience to go through and can happen so fast.

Sorry - this happened quite a few years ago. I apologize. I tell this story on purpose to make sure you realize it can happen in a split second and we all need to be aware. With mew babies going home, I offer it as a reminder to make sure a door opened with a dog slopping out faster than you can catch them can and does happen.

I got Ollie the house with his name on it and a fish bed. He loves them both and the funny thing is the cat loves them too. They are great quality and well made. I love them too.
