Marco and the Stormy and Raven

Here is a video of Marco eating his food

No photos other than this blurry one as we are both on lead. I tried to get the grandkids coming but no go.

How did it go? They both upchucked a little on the way - nothing on the way back. This sometimes happens and by class 3 it should be gone. Some do, some do not. It also can be the way Nathan was driving. Shhh I didn't say that. I get car sick at times.

Raven was cautious and didn't want to play with anyone. Everyone is big but 1 other and its a very large class.

Stormy was after everyone to play. Neither had been on a lead or had a collar on. This is Nathan's job. With me being tired it made more work for me.

I was on Raven and she is not food motivated so couple this with what are all these big dogs doing in my class, I didn't think any of this was doable but I got her walking on lead though slowly and looking at me (easy peasy). She vastly improved by midway through the class.

Stormy was doing everything with ease. Of course Nathan took Stormy as she is the easy one. She did try to bit his fingers off getting to the food.

Again, nothing wrong with Raven. She assesses the situation first. That tells me she is mighty intelligent. It may take some work at first but we will get her there. I will also practice with her and I bet you Nathan will practice with Stormy less. We shall see how week 2 goes.

Raven had everyone ooohing and ahhing about her cuteness. She is so very cute. I am going to work through some treats and if I have to make a chicken before class and take chicken with me. My challenge is to get her food motivated enough to want to do what I am asking.

I call the first class a success. I just wish I wasn't so very tired. Maybe that was good as I was punch drunk relaxed.

Hey Darlah, Raven is so reminiscent of Patches in classes. Do you remember Patches was not at all food motivated either? You even brought me a bag of treats to try her with. She also assessed and still assesses everything before making a move. And, she is definitely extremely intelligent. I think Jeannie passed down these traits to both Raven and Patches. Got to love them to pieces though.

Oh gee, I forgot to comment on Marco's video. What magic potion do you put in Marco's food? My two eat, but not like that. And, they don't eat every meal, some they leave. My, he loves his food and he is so very cute. I noticed too how he bee lined to you as soon as he finished eating, what a good boy. Love him.

Love the Marco video!
Raven is a cutie, beautiful colouring! No wonder everyone is ohhing over her.
Well Stormy is storming her way trough the class haha.
You are a trooper going to class with only 3 hours sleep, to add to the challenge you've got Raven who is not food motivated! I reminds me of my first class with Tenshi, totally not motivated by food.

Oh that video!! He still eats like that 3 times a day!! At the Vet today for his booster he weighed 8.6 pounds and by his ribs she still says he's a tad underweight. Marco loves school for the sole reason that he gets fed for an hour!! I also have to watch that I have all 5 fingers at the end he's that FOOD motivated. LOL. Darlah I don't know where you get the energy to do all that you do. Amazing! Hugs!!

Wow Marco, breath baby, breath! A pleasure to watch him eat with so much gusto.

Patricia: Sounds like he is Stormy's brother for sure through and through.

Angela:

I think Raven will be more food motivated. I trained her with baked chicken pieces. She was highly receptive. Going to try some other meat. There may be hope for her yet. heh

Yes, the first class was a success. I would guess you will lead Raven. To food motivate Ines, I used small pieces of european wieners, only these 'worked' for us. Looking forward to news about the girls' performances in class.

Wow, Marco eats like a Golden Retriever!! LOL I'm going to try that flavour and see if Ollie will do that. He is treat motivated but not "dinner" motivated. What a cute puppy! Darlah, please keep giving us updates on Raven. She pulls at my heartstrings. She is identical to my Golden that passed away last year (except for the food part). LOL
