18 Hours Old: Gallery and Videos Added

Finally got Saffron brushed. Can't tell she had a bath yesterday but she will not have another for a couple of weeks as it would take her away from her pups too long.
I slept till 1130am. I then did 2 dogs and felt like I was going to pass out. Brushed a few more. Ate and relieved Nathan and he is now taking his nap. Soon Dennis will go to sleep so he can be up all night. I had a hard time staying up last night. 24 hours of being awake is tough at my old age. hahahah

Here is a gallery but realize you will see shots of Saffron before and after grooming. Those of you that have birthed kids know you don't come out looking like you are walking down the runway right after.
Pups are eating so well that they eat and sleep between. Saffron is so lucky but she is in that super attentive mode and I will be glad when she truly sleeps.
Having never had all girls in a litter I realize I have few girls only blankets. Yes first all girls.

Such wonderful videos. Saffron looks so happy and content. Funny, all girls this time and the last litter with Roxie was all boys.
Tenshi says "hi" to all her new baby sisters! Tenshi also wishes mommy Saffron a well recovery. She's so happy that she's got new siblings to play with!!! She also wants to give lots of doggie kisses to you and Nathan for the hard work you put in.

We don't mind seeing Saffi's babies on blue/green backgrounds. lol.
With as often as the bedding requires washing, I am sure they were
out in the washing machine.

The hemostat placenta video was so interesting. When Nathan picked up the puppy Saffron was watchful but didn't appear stressed. Such trust.
It was an interesting delivery. First came out looking like it was touching its toes. That one would have hurt and according to her voice it did. Next 2 came out breach and needed some coaxing to get out mostly cause Saffron said you want me to push and then scream, mom? You could tell she was trying not to push. But once the last one came out she had this face filled with relief. These were pups of size for her and she was wonderful. They came out active with very little fluid to clean out.
I love that her pups eat so well that they sleep inbetween! Saffron had a restless night last night. Today she is relaxing.
She does trust us - they all do. But its driving Nathan crazy as Saffron looks to me for care. Nathan's okay. I am just her person. Maybe cause she gets massages etc from me.
Tonight she was ever so happy to see Murphy!

It will be fun for Tenshi to play with her siblings when they are old enough.
It's amazing that with all she had going on she still responded to Murphy.
They have such a wonderful bond.
Yes they do have a truly special bond and yes saffron is an amazing mom!
