Kai's 1st Class

Nathan kept forgetting to sign Kai up for class so we entered on the 2nd week. They allowed it as we have dome it so much that really playing catch up is not a concern. Plus it's all about conditioning her to be around dogs of all energy and size.

Here is the gallery.

This was the first time she had a collar and lead on. With this cold weather walks are not doable but she has been to Global transported in a sherpa bag.

When we found a collar we actually found saffron's so she was wearing her mom's collar and lead. Think it's time to check off one of those Scavenger items and have her go to the store to get a collar and lead. Maybe a stranger will give her a treat and we can click off two things.

We have 7 in class counting us. They don't have to concentrate on us as we know what to do. But she met many dogs, little and big. She greeted each. She was not crazy about the collar and lead and showed that with her tail down and then she adjusted. Okay, if I put up with this collar and lead and stay in one place, I get a treat. If I walk next to daddy, I get a treat. If I finish next to daddy I get a treat. How good is that?

Next week is come. Kai knows come really well already but we shall see how she does it in class next Thursday. I also found the 6pm class is nicer than the 7 as we can actually get home and not be rushing to bed. I like that!

Love seeing photos of Kai in class, she looks very spunky :-)

Kai looks very attentive in that photo. Since Laci & I are not fond of the cold and/or mushy weather, we've been practicing up on our skills. Surprising what they remember. I think she knows more than I do! LOL

Also, Darlah talk about socializing - Laci had a re-check at the Vet's last week and I was so amazed at how calm she was. We did lots of impromptu visits there when she was a puppy and seems she remembers everyone and is quite content there. Although, they do gush over her ad she seems to like that! :-)

Even Kat you can hold up your arm and he goes right into a down faster than lightening. They remember! Great that you are training with Laci. It's good to keep their mind working as it is for us!
