Pups Are Coming Here Plus Complications; Photos Added

Click on Photo for Larger ViewFirst born is a girl at 1142pm. She weighs 5-4/8oz 156g. This one has a bandit eye with a half mask on the other side and spot on top of head. Verdict out on true colour as it dries.

Click on Photo for Larger ViewNext one born on January 31st - at 1am. He appears to be a very dark brown sable boy. He weighs in at 6-4/8oz 184g

Click on Photo for Larger ViewNext puppy was born at 226am. She is a brown and cream girl. She weighs 5-1/8oz 147g

Click on Photo for Larger ViewNext puppy is a girl born at 318am. It's a girls that weighs 5-1/8oz 148g. She looks black but is a very dark brown sable.

She has 1 more still in utero. More later.

Saffron's last pup would not come so after 4 plus hours we took her to Vet Emerg. They ae doing a c-section on her. Pups has a heartbeat but the pup was in a U shape so couldn't come. Our local vet was at a talk so she was unavailable so they suggested vet emerg.

The cost of 3 puppies to do a c-section. they also did blood tests, calcium test etc. Everything was fine. They also had hidden in the bill a c-section. We caught it. If she had one it would have interfered with her milk production. Cute.

We can't afford this but we are figuring it out.

I had to take the pups home and at first Cinnamon and Ella were feeding them but Cinnamon's nipples are too large so Ella ended up feeding them all. I will have to do that till this evening when hopefully Saffron will feed them. Poor thing...

I will never go to Vet Emerg again. It is clinical. They wouldn't let us see them or the pups and then told us to get the pups out of there and they will call us. Bring money...

I have not slept. Nathan is sleeping now. So we await what gender and colour the pup is, how Saffron is doing and if the pup makes it. Stay tuned... sigh

I am beyond tired and upset.

Photos etc coming.

Both Moms trying to feed Saffron's pups/ Cinnamon's milk stations are too large.

Saffron's pups being fed by Ella - all 4.

The four after feeding. We will have them feed on Ella in 2 hours. Ella's milk production will increase and hopefully by tonight Saffron can feed her 5. Time will tell. She will certainly be under the influence from anesthesia and very sore.

Here is the gallery of the 4. We will add the 5th if all goes well tonight.

Beautiful puppies, Saffie! 😚
What a long night the three of you had. I'm sure it's going to take a few days to recover.
Take care of yourself. 😊

Oh gosh, they are beautiful and 3 girls! Saffie had 4, not 5 or 6. The x-rays can be really deceiving, can't they? Now you have 11 beautiful pups. Only one more than you have now. That must be a better number to try to merge than 15 or so. Congratulations to all, another wonderful litter for your very lucky people.

I was feeling the same way, Anne.
Very relieved that Saffron is going to be ok. I was so worried for her and feeling for both of you. I hope the puppy is ok.
So sorry that the emergency vet was such a bad experience. I had to go once and had a very good experience. Which one did you go to?

Poor Safi, I hope everything turns out fine for you and your puppy. Darlah and Nathan, take care of yourselves during this time, you need to rest. But happy that the other 2 mommas are helping out, wonderful girls. Hugs to all.

Waiting anxiously to hear some good news ! Thinking of all of you ! How wonderful that you have Ella to help out or it would be terrible. It is unthinkable that they are not in constant contact with you so you know what is going on.

Oh my gosh, I didn't realize there was one still in utero, I am so very sorry. Liz told me because I read the blog when the 4 were born. I am keeping Saffron and her pup in my thoughts and wish the very best to all of you. I will keep looking for updates when available.

So sorry to hear that Saffy had complications. Going to the Vet Emergency Clinic is always expensive and terribly stressful. I hope that Saffron is better real soon.
