Saffron's Home

She's home. She was a bloody knotted mess but ever so happy to see her pups. Ella is miffed she's taking care of her own pups. They shaved her back. I am not sure why. She has a bald spot about the size - well its huge. It will grow. She's a bit stoned but she is ever so happy to be home and happy to be with her pups. Out of this world happy to be with them.

I will be up with them all night. I will upload a video of her greeting her pups but I am off to bed for 3 hours so I can stay up all night.

You will find the videos here.

Thank you, Michelle Loder for the transfer to help with vet bills. That's not why I shared it with all of you but deeply appreciated. I shared it as vet emerg is NOT where to take your dogs unless you have no choice, imho. It's the money and all the rest. I will remain never knowing what color or gender the puppy is that we lost. I am ever so sad.

So incredibly relieved and happy that Saffron is home with you and Nathan and her puppies.

Yeah me too. I want to say the whole experience from the overcharging to the experience was a huge cluster f%^&. Sorry for the language but it was like insult to injury. Trying to scramble to get money together added to the entire experience. If we didn't we wouldn't have had Saffron home. How fun is that? We barely pulled it together.

Darlah - So happy for you all. Saffron is a real trouper! And she still has four lovely pups to take care of. She is a real beauty!

So terribly sorry about the loss and stress of it all but happy to see Saffron with her babies looking very happy and proud.
Although I've never had to go there myself, I've heard very good reports about the Huronia Emerg Clinic in Barrie, both care and costs.

I just saw Saffron's video. So heartwarming to see her with you and her babies. She is beautiful, Darlah. And she's a wonderful mommy, I know it!

So sad that the Vet Emergency Clinic closed you out of the whole process. Sorry for the pup that did not survive.

Glad to see her home with you safe and sound and happy to have been able to help in a small way. Let tomorrow be a better day for all of you.

Glad to see Saffie is home with her new babies and all who love her, right where she belongs. What a day you've all had! Better times ahead!

OMG.what a nightmare. And Emerg was so mean. Certainly they could tell that you knew what you were doing and you had a right to be with your own dog. It sounds dreadful. I wonder if it was the same place my niece took her dog. When they said the surgery would cost $6000 my niece said she couldn't afford it and they said too bad for the dog. She took the dog to another clinic and they were half the price and they didn't have to pay upfront. How can vets be like that. Animal lovers don't do that. I will find out the place she went. Poor Saffy. But she does have 4 beautiful pups and she loves them. Heartbreaking.

If we were not in a predicament that time was a factor, we would have taken her elsewhere. 6 grand must be a magic number for Emerg. We couldn't afford this either - but we had no choice to scramble.

Darlah, so glad Saffie is home safe and loving up her pups. What Moms go through for the love of their little ones is amazing.

I am disgusted that you ere treated so meanly by the emergency vets, it would cost them nothing to let you say bye to the pup or to show more care to clean up Saffie a bit even in an emergency situation.

Thoughts are with you
