Last Visit

This was a little different as we had to find a match for Rusty. So I groomed him this morning. We had our visit with the first family and then did one on ones with Rusty.

Here is the gallery.

It was a great day but I am ever so tired. Will Rusty have a sister or a brother? Send in your picks and the pickup date, please.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Darlah I am still floating on air. To have 12 beautiful puppies cuddling and playing is better than anything. Every one is a treasure and that is because of all the love and attention you give them. Where are the awards. You guys get the gold medal. We can’t wait to bring our little one home. Although it will be an adjustment for Rusty he will love the companionship. Now for the hard part deciding which one to choose. Thank you so much.

I am really pleased you enjoyed the visit. Pups are good for the soul. No matter how bad things are on a given day - they bring a smile on my face.

Interesting process ! So do you usually find certain pups and adults are drawn to each other? I would imagine some adults coming in would look at 12 puppies and want to run and hide !!

When matching a dog to an existing dog, it is always prudent to invest the time in one on ones to assess what will work and what won't work. Sometimes the existing dog just needs time - some more than others. None of this will work if you place 12 pups in with the pups. It is the odd dog that won't be taken aback by gremlins chasing them. We have had visitors that enjoy the craziness of the 12 chasing and others that will not be happy. Think of it as a party with a bunch of strangers and your own personalities. Some would relish a bunch coming at them to talk and others may go - oh my.

At times a dog will only connect with one dog. Rusty connected with 4 though not full out play but sniffed, kissed etc
