Full Day Old

Here is the gallery.

Sage pups were weighed. All are gaining minimally, which is norm. Her back stations they do not want to eat on as they are too full so I have to manually express a bit to relieve her and insist they feed on those milk stations. They are opinionated so I had to keep insisting as we do not want to put her on antibiotics due to mastitis. They did feed and those pups that did will gain rapidly as there is so much milk on those stations. That's the issue. They never want to feed on milk that gets expressed in abundance. I get that. We will keep at it and it will be fine as we caught it early nit when fully impacted. Good news - lots of milk so gaining quicker will occur.

Videos are up.

Sage got a much needed comb out and her hair placed back up so they had access. Blankets were changed in both whelping boxes.

Pups are lively and plump. Sage is so proud but the way she keeps on checking on Mistys, I think she wants hers too. LOL
