9 Days Old

Here is the gallery.

The pups are all double to size of Alanza. This makes sense as the larger they are, the more they can take in and the more they will grow. They simply have outstanding faces. I know I am biased but seriously they do.

Alanza gives me kisses after eating. It is precious. The brown and white first born kisses me too.

The darkest one seems to be a growing concern. Climbing, pushing others out of the way to get as many milk bar stations as they can. It is a riot. What personality.

I am ajusting to doing everything between 1 hour and 45 minutes. I was hoping this was still not so but we are making headway.

Be sure to check out the videos. Plus don't forget about the shorts

The darkest one is Dante's son... remember him when he was eating? He could barely move :) hope Alanza keeps getting stronger

Yes, I remember Dante. Alanza is getting fatter. She needs more growth and to start feeding off mom but she is gaining. I applaud her efforts. She is pretty amazing!

Absolutely. I am sure she will be all grown and healthy. Have you had in the past a similar experience like Alanza?

November 23, 2023 | Unregistered CommenterDavid

Yes and no. Each is unique. She was never lethargic. She just lost as she wouldn't stay latched on to mom. You can and do lose pups at this age. You have to be very careful not to give them pneumonia from them eating too fast. It is why Dennis was keeping me up notifying me all night as he was afraid. So here I am doing the night shift and sleeping from 730-1230. Is 5 hours enough? Yes, she is no doubt healthy or she would be lethargic.

Nathan will feed her while I sleep. Dennis needs a break. There is a lot of responsibility with getting a little one to thrive. She certainly has the will to live in her. I showed Nathan how to feed her and he has so far done 3 feedings. He's confident. so I am confident with him.
