Not Sure What's Going On

Here is the gallery.

We need to start taking this crew out for play sessions. They also need to start eating mousse.

Today or tomorrow we are going to try to get an appointment for them to look at Alanza. She has started to not eat her full allotment so she can't seem to get by 10oz. As much as I try, it's not working so we need to figure this out with a vet. It is hard to believe that after a month, I am still doing this and she hasn't broken the 10oz weight. I am incredibly sad as I have never had to put so much for so long into a pup. But I owe it to them. So, we will let you know if we can get an appointment and what the verdict is.

I can't begin to tell you how I feel. I can't sleep a wink tonight and come 7am, I will need a sleeping pill for sure.

The rest of the pups are thriving, playing and are gorgeous pups. We have amazing characters in this bunch. I have got to know them quite well as I spend so much time with them.

Check out the videos and don't forget the shorts.

Oh Darlah! I hope the vet can help Alanza. I've been following your incredible efforts with her.

Your journey with little Alanza has been so difficult and worrisome. I pray that the vet can offer a positive solution. I know it's been just nerve wracking. I look forward to seeing positive news.

Oh that's distressing. Can't think what it might be, maybe she is just going to be really small. If her energy and sleep seem fine maybe that's just how she'll stay.

We had the vet here and seems she has a hole in the back of her throat - not large but enough to create issues. This is a first for us. She will talk to the surgeon and let us know the feedback if she is a viable candidate for getting enough weight on her to have surgery. If she can't eat food other than formula, this may be impossible. I also have discussions with our repro vet whose husband is a surgeon. We will take it from there. If we need to let her go, it will kill me as I have bonded deep but its not about me but her. She will now not eat over 5.5ml down from 8ml. You can't gain weight that way. This is incredibly hard for me - all of it. I have a headache from crying since yesterday.

She is now down to 3ml. <sigh>

So very sorry to learn of Alanza’s health struggles. It has gone on such a long time, but good you’ve learned the cause. It’s encouraging she has come this far and hopefully there is something that can be done for her now that she’s a little bigger & stronger. We all must hold on to positive thoughts to send her way. 🙏

I’m so sorry. This is heartbreaking. We are praying that surgery will be possible.

Not sure surgery is viable. She doesn't have enough weight. We are just seeing if it is possible to continue this and get her to the point where she can have surgery. Waiting to hear from surgeon and our repro vet. To do this for 4 weeks and not have her come out the other end is truly heartbreaking. So far she has not rallied with her eating but we will see how the night progresses and what the vets say to us tomorrow. Then - either way hard decisions have to be made. I can't eat - can't sleep - not a fun process for her or for us.

Good news we had the 5 siblings playing in the hall. They are ready!
