Up All Night

She is actively digging. See the video. Her temps this morning is 98.1. Do not say at least its a daytime whelping. After no sleep, I don't want to hear it. LOL I am trashed. Think it is takeout food today. We need to do a grocery order. Go figure.

As you can see how different each whelping is. Sage ate and ate and threw up and pups come earlier than thought. Spirit has been showing signs for a couple of days without nesting. She bottomed out last night with her temps last night in lower 97. They do not usually drop that low. She was shivering and that is stage 1 labour. So, I watched all night. She was agitated so it would have been hard to sleep.

Today she refused to eat. Her bowels are cleaned out as I had to wash her bottom. So, she is damp. She had no patience for me drying her under the dryers. She had to run to her whelping box to nest.

So, a day earlier than my vet in Northumberland thought and 2-3 days before the new vet thought. They do it on their own time. How long will it take to progress? She will let us know. Stay tuned.

Here is the gallery. She is still nesting.

You must be exhausted but the photo of Spirit peeking out of the rearranged blankets brought a smile to my face!!
Exciting news and I pray for a smooth delivery.
