Poppy's New Family

I hear that Poppy fussed all the way to the airport. I hope she has settled down now. Nathan drove them to the airport and he stayed quiet so she didn't get confused. Safe travels, little one. You have an extra special place in our hearts as you were going to stay here. Now you are on a wonderful journey. Embrace it!

Here is the family photo.

This is the last Cinnamon puppy to depart. This is the last of the updates until we receive updates from you.

Here are the photos before she departed.

I am sure she will post but they had a turbulent plane ride but she didn't get sick. Whimpered a bit. She held her and she settled in. She slept on the bed and she found she wouldn't eat till she put the bowl on the carpet. It was wonderful to hear. I worry when they have to travel on planes and Marilyn has asked us for years for a puppy and we kept saying no as we don't do that. We like them close. I made a concession with Gerda too. LOL Marilyn's such a nice lady who genuinely loves the dogs so we had to. I have a feeling she is going to fall deeply and madly in love with her - as it should be!

I was so upset she cried on the way to the airport. Poor Nathan was really feeling bad but she is home safe and sound now. She knows where the water and food are and she loves her Sherpa bag which travels from room to room. We are working on the pee pad as I put her on and she jumps off and finds a carpet. Guess a carpet is more comfortable. She lets me know when it is play time by calling me into the living room where we keep the toys. Doesn't take her too many retrieves and she is tired out. She impressed everyone in the airport they all thought she was an amazing puppy. There was another person travelling with a Havanese pup that was only 8 weeks old??? She used the pad in the airport bathroom when we got to Winnipeg and then jumped back in the bag. Sharon and I had a good laugh about that. Ken got up early to put her on the pad and not wake me but she has the "You want me to go there, no way I want a carpet". She is a character. She is now sleeping in her bag while I catch up on email etc.

Darlah, hope you are feeling better and getting some rest so that you can enjoy the wedding.

We don't have carpets here. I wonder if she is smelling something residual. Do you have benefect? It will work on rugs too.

Nathan didn't want to say a word as he didn't want to confuse her. Glad she settled in. Each day it will get better. To deal with a bumpy plane ride and not get sick is great.

That sherpa bag gives them a great deal of comfort. I am glad we started to take them here and there in it years ago. It really bodes them well to be conditioned to it. Glad I thought of it. They can even sleep in it on your bed!

Mine slept in the Sherpa bag on the bed for their first week or so. I thought they wouldn’t feel so exposed!
