Pups are All Here

3 born, 2 in car, 1 coming through our door. 1 has not come yet. We think the car ride helped jostle the 2 1st pups into position. So far all 3 are girls.

Here is a gallery so far. Individuals will wait till 4th has arrived. This is highly stress-filled.

1st one born is a sable and cream and is a gal. She was born at 509pm. She weighs 60z 172g

Second one born is a girl. She was born at 549pm. She is also a sable and cream but different markings.

Third one was born coming through door and she looks like a Misty puppy with black mask and black diamond on head. She is white mostly. Looks like brown not black. She weighs 6-3/8oz 183g

I am uploading various sides of each pup so far to gallery.

4th born is yet another gal and we are done. She was born at 734pm. She weighs 6-2/8oz 179g She is a deep copper sable so far. All pups are latched on. Poor Nami was mighty confused and VERY hungry.

I stay up till midnight while Dennis sleeps and Nathan will go to bed at 930pm. I never want to go through this again for many reasons but poor Nathan would have another heart attack. He does not do stress well where I keep it to myself and do what I need to.

Galleries are now updated and I will be uploading the rest of the videos shortly. I need to catch my breath. Bedding and Nami was cleaned up.

I want you to know, I almost killed Nathan. He can't handle stress. I want you to know that the person who shuts up and just rides it out has to handle the verbal - the sky is falling person. I love the guy but if I have to go through this ever again, I may shoot him. After it was all done, I got Nami and the rest of the pups settled in. Nami is a brand new mom and she was confused. Her last one she was agitated and started leaving the whelping box and walked it out then went back and it arrived silently. I thought emergency but kept it to myself. They tell pregnant humans to do that - walk it out. She didn't understand these little beings wanted to feed. She wanted to hide her tummy. It was a long labor for the pups too. It started YESTERDAY! We had 2 that was refusing to feed at first and well she just wanted to eat and go cool herself on the floor. Nathan was frustrated. I always handle the difficulties (the sideway pups, the not breathing or congested pup as they were in the canal a long time etc so driving to the vets for him was too much. If there is ever a next time, I will go myself. I said she is a new mom who had car rides and a VERY long labour. I oohed and ahhhed over her pups and she was excited how excited I was and then she hasn't left them since. She is so totally in love. Her pups are eating. She has milk already and it was hard on all of us. But we got through it. Dennis is sleeping till midnight and then I will crawl into bed with dogs. Nathan got to bed as soon as he could at 930pm with a couple of dogs. I so wanted food and a stiff drink but here I sit watching all the pups and the dogs that remain downstairs with me. I am emotionally spent. I am used to oh my gad comments from Nathan but this time it was over the top. So, although I am tired, it is nice to be with the dogs taking care of their needs. They appreciate me and what I bring to them - sanity.

If anyone goes to Costco, I need salted shell pistachios - will pay. I have been out for over a month and it is my fave.

Oh and while this was going on and I am supposed to be updating the blog, my computer screen would not turn on. Dennis had me multi-tasking and we finally got it working. Just add some more stress - will you?

I am glad it is done and pups are eating and doing well but most of all my Nami is doing well. She was the one that did the work and she at the end of the day is the special one. Us women do all the work with birthing. Bravo Nami - you are amazing! Aren't these pups simply gorgeous?

Darlah, I so feel for you but Bravo! Bravo to all of you. You did well, darling Nami. ❤️

OMG... What a ride! I think Nami lived up to her name! The babes are sooo precious. Another Talemaker story to tell.
