Oh Warm Weather and Covid

We had the 6 week visit and I felt sad. Sad why? No in person visit. It is simply not the same. Our recording didn't save for the zoom meeting. I hope someone else saved it and if so, can you send?

Here is the gallery from the afternoon.

I feel like I am letting everyone down - parents to be, pups - all of it and nothing under my control. We are going to try to do another next Saturday and hope Spirit cooperates and you have thought of things to ask.

Pups start going home May 18th (book your date with Nathan please) and the end of the stay at home is not till May 20th. Thing is that date is just before the long weekend and what is the chance Ford will not extend even if our numbers are down. We will still be doing a departure but how we do it will matter on what I receive from others I have contacted. But let's set the date so we can at least have that solid. I have sent out messages to other breeders - all breeds to find out how they are doing send offs. Many do not do 6 and 8 week visits so they so far do not get my feelings over this zoom stuff. It's better than nothing but not the same.

We will figure it all out. I am so stressed about this, I may have a gin and tonic tonight and I am serious.

When all is said and done - the pups are pretty even with a few better with kids. At least I know that they are amazing pups and need to be without the fun of you coming to visit.

Enough said. Let Nathan know pick up date and time and if you are interested in Zoom next Saturday or whatever. I want to make this a special experience.

You both have made the very best of this situation, all your blogs have been a joy to watch, thank you very much for taking the time out of your very busy schedule to make both photos and videos.

I agree with Natalie. Thank you for your love and attention to the puppies and all you do to keep us informed.

You’ve done amazing. It’s been such a special experience seeing the pups from the very beginning on these blogs.

Everyone is doing their best in these challenging times! I’ve seen some breeders on YouTube adapt by creating videos introducing each of the pups so the people at home can get a sense of what they look like. They would lift each one up one at a time and describe their personality from their observations and it let people see each one up close too :) you do an amazing job being so transparent with the care and love given to each of the pups :)

Rebecca: can you send me the links in email darlah@potechin.com so I can see what others are doing? The issue with this group with a few exceptions are they are rather similar. I have observed that the brindle boy of Raven lasts the longest in play but sometimes that is due to him sleeping before coming out. #3 Misty is the most curious, agile and playful but they are all playful. The Misty boy seems to be the one that watches the ipad, is fascinated by what you are doing - curious but not high energy. Things like that? There are no shy pups. There are no pups that have to be brought along to get them to be all they can be. They are really very similar. We do baths and individual photos but we do not make it interactive. It is simply way too much work as it is. When I do baths with photos it takes for 8 pups from 8 to 4pm.

Hi Darlah, I think those observations are really valuable to a family deciding! I’ll email the links to you by tonight :)

Rebecca: I appreciated it. I really needed to see and truly need to perfect on these. I am glad we do daily videos so you can see and none of them are edited so you see what we see. Hopefully next batch we are not doing this. We are doing another zoom meeting so maybe this will help me explain what I see with each.
