Pups Are Here: 5

We had an adventure. As vets was closing and amniotic fluid came a bit over 2 hours so I didn't want to take a chance and end up at emerg. The ride got her going and it has been an adventure.

4tH born a minute ago. Will update with photos sizes etc. All pups are in great shape so far. All eating. All lively!

5th born. Pups are eating well. They are all eating WELL.

We have 3 girls 2 boys so far and all VERY lively. Too busy to do photos but they will come after 6th born.

We can feel the 6th inside but it has not descended yet. It is moving.

Videos getting uploaded.

1st pup born as we pulled into the back of the vets at 448pm. She is a gal that weighs 5-1/2oz 157g Think she is a tri but as usual have to wait till they are all dry.

2nd one was born as we were pullling away from the vets. He was born at 504pm. He weighs 5-3/4oz 166g He looks like a brown tri but time will tell.

This one was born as we turned on to our street. She was born at 524pm. She seems more of an apricot sable but we will see. She weighs 5oz 144g

The 4th is a boy and was finally born at home. He has a white streak on his stomach and white chin. He was born at 544pm. He weighs 5-5/8oz 161g

The 5th is a gal and was born at 603pm. She weighs 7-1/4oz 206g She is indeed a sable tri.

We are in wait for #6. Nathan swears he feels one but I went over her and do not feel another puppy. We may just have 5. I have asked my repro vet to look at the xrays again. Stay tuned.

Here is the gallery. Have not heard from my vet yet. Tempie is a magical mom. She is so delighted, it is unreal.

I am experienced in checking for more pups and I do not feel another. So, we have 5 lively, healthy beauties with a story to tell with this birth. I just cleaned her up and pups are feeding and finding mom. This is a truly beautiful litter and if they have Tempie's personality - well the best. She is so proud - so very proud.

Oh Darlah and Nathan, we are holding our breaths until we hear about no.6. The 5 puppies are just perfect (right down to their tiny toe nails) and very active. You must be so proud of Tempie, it warms our hearts to see the love she has for her babies🐾❤️

Wow! That sure looked like a stress filled delivery for you folks. So glad everything worked out well. Tempie sure is lucky she was in your experienced hands. Congrats on all the beautiful pups.

Patt: Yes, very stress-filled but once the pups started arriving, I was laughing as it was juggle city having them in the car. Pups are doing really really well - gaining - lively and finding mom's milk bar. My repro vet said I could have waited 3 hours and would have if it was early in the day. 3 hours would have meant a closed vet and only emerg as an option - which isn't an option to me. The one in Scarborough spayed a gal that had a stuck puppy without permission from another breeder. They sued and won but getting your costs back is not winning, imho. We also had a bad experience with Raven there. Where Angela I believe has only good things to say. I think they treat breeders different than pet clients. It is downright scary now breeding. I have a anxiety tummy each time we whelp and instead it should be a celebration. 1 down 3 to go. Suspect no issues with the rest. Not that there really was with this crew. heh
