In a couple of days this crew will be attempting to eat too. That means all 4 litters by then will be eating solid food. Can you believe?
They play - roll over and enjoy themselves.
This is the youngest crew. They are growing well but have just started gentle play. They get excited to see Mommy.
They will have a few days before they will start eating. The starter mousse is hard to get now but thanks to Pippa, she found some for us and Sherry also was looking. I so appreciate!
We will be going through cases of the stuff with this crew. Already Ella's crew has gone through 2 cans today and they just stated. Tempie's is at 6 cans already. Oh boy... Got to laugh...
Well look at me with my babies out of the whelping box. Here is the gallery.
Not to be outdone by the Ella crew that is a bit older - well we are out of our whelping box too. Everyone is settling in and curious as ever looking out. The Willow crew has noticed the Spirit crew and the Spirit crew has noticed the Willow crew. It is interesting to see them looking at each other.
It will be a new experience for moms and pups tonight.
These pups are simply gorgeous.
Videos coming after I finish this blog. Then I have a ton to do as Dennis is unable to. So forgive me for slowness or less.
The blankets that divide the pups is mostly down. By tomorrow all will disappear. This is the next stage of seeing each other. It is important that they get acquainted from afar at first and later on together. Those in whelping boxes will not be able to see clearly but we do things in stages. First blankets. Next out of whelping boxes, then play sessions with each other than an immersion. It will all happen when they are ready.
Most of all the moms need to be relaxed about the changes.
Videos are up. More later.
Pups all litters but Tempie had their nils done as you will see in the videos. Tempies had theirs done last week. All pups were good for it. I didn't take photos but did take videos.
Willow's pups are doing well. Short blog today as I need to start cleaning up and changing bedding.
This is the youngest set. Still, they are now over 2 weeks old. They are gaining and doing well.
Ms. Willow is doing well as she is no longer engorged. I am happy for her as that is not fun. She is simply a mom that produces enough to feed 10 pups. What can I say?No pups want to try to eat either when that engorged and well simply its too much milk at once. Now she is back to normal. Willow never complains. She's not that type of a dog.
Her pups tend to move all over the place. Now with all eyes open - in a few days we shall see even more activity. It's going to be a fun house here.
Videos are up. More later.
I know I usually put a photo of each pup that has their eyes open but seeing we have 4 out of 5 and my limited time, you will see all their photos in the gallery.
Willow pups are now 2 weeks old. Can you believe?
Only need the last one and everyone in all litters will have their eyes open. Now that is exciting!
Videos are up. I will try to get more up in a bit. My leg is unusually bad tonight so I am icing in hopes that I can do all that I need to do.
Willow is doing well. She has too much milk. I go to manually express her just to take the edge off and the milk squirts across the room. Have not seen this since Wasabi.
We have a puppy with loose stools. It happens. It depends on what mom is eating and well one of her milk stations is a bit impacted so she is going to go back on antibiotics. Puppy is not losing. I am just washing and changing blankets.
All pups gained. Willow is gassy and thus the reality is something is making her gassy. Poor thing. Maybe it was the ribs without sauce we gave her. Willow is a great eater. She will eat most anything. She is not complaining. I am expressing her to give her some relief and all pups are eating.
She is a proud Momma!
It will be interesting to see when this crew will open their eyes. They too will remain in their whelping box till they are ready. We shall see when that is.
The crew is gaining, active and round in those tummies.
