27 Days Old

First born's personality is really getting to be mighty interesting. It will be fun to see them eating and be outside. Not sure how we can feed 15 at once so I suppose we will do one group at a time then merge the 3 together. We had planned to do it today but it didn't work out. Tomorrow!

Here is the gallery.

One more day and this crew will be 4 weeks old.

We have been in discussions about the 6 and 8 week visits and we still dont know what can and can't be done and in what form. We are frustrated as we know for at least the 8 week visit we need to see the families with the pups and they need to see you. Right now gatherings of more than 5 people are not allowed. Pups can't do 15 individual visits as they will be exhausted - so will we. I know many of you are asking. We have time to figure out the limitations we have to work under. Pups may have to get used to masks as we do have some immune compromised folks. Oh, thank you Covid for this. Stay tuned.

It’s a good thing to get pups used to masks, ours are. A new way of life, COVID-19 pups, imagine that. They will have a good life regardless πŸΆπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜

Good to get used to everything but we do not wear masks in our home. We only do when we are out. With pups not going out for walks like older dogs, they do not have the natural conditioning, I suppose. We would have to condition them.

Though people that walk dogs here do not wear masks, they practice social distance. Right now you are limited to 5 people as a gathering. I hope before pups go home we can have a visit even from afar but we have no control over it. We will have to see how it unfolds. You must see interaction to get which pup would thrive in what home. The pups deserve the right home. The families deserve the right pup. We take this serious. There is a lot that goes into this puppy process and if you never have been through it, hard to understand how important it is. But health is important too. Zoom and Facetime is not the same no matter how you would like it to be. The pups are 3 and 4 weeks old. A great deal can change between now and departure.

I also think that taken a photo as your going home can be done with a telephoto if we are restricted. They deserve a going home photo without masks, don't you think?

We will figure it out but it's so much more complicated than how a dog will react to a mask. I wish it was not as conditioning is easy.

Maybe I should clarify, we don't wear masks in the house, why would we, but we do when we go out and get our dogs used to it.

We don’t wear masks when walking the dogs, not necessary in our opinion, only when we go to stores.
