Swimming Fun

Pool time excitement is over the top when it comes to Kat. Pool is finally at 85f and we are enjoying the pool.

Kat, Roxie, Mugs, Truffie and Spice all went in today. I bet you after dinner Kat will be back in and so will we. Not the rest as you have to brush and comb each after swimming and I am out of steam.

Sitting in our house the sweat pours off our face literally.

I am not doing well after a lack of a full nights sleep now going on over a week. But we are trying.

Truffie really enjoys the water and so does Spice and Roxie. But no one quite the way Kat does.

Kat swims laps and stays in for quite a long time not even missing a beat. It's a riot. The others go in, do a circle or two or go straight out. Not him. He plays with Nathan and has a grand old time.

Spice is a VERY strong swimmer. I have a feeling she will be side by side with Kat before long. Her strides are deliberate and very strong but she swims with ease. It's hard to explain. I will have to do a video.

Kat did a belly flop today and you should see his face (its in the photos) - ouch that hurt and then he was back at it over and over again.

We needed the pool and look forward to swimming some more tonight. We are hoping to get Fiona and Abigail in tomorrow. We shall see. Tonight - just Kat and us cause grooming one dog is enough even if its just a comb out. :-)

Catch the photos today.

I truly enjoyed these photos of Nathan and Kat in the pool and as well the others around. So much fun to witness! Soon, Laci's pool intro will be up from last weekend and then this weekend is already here. You have me so excited about fun times to come this summer.

Thanks for sharing! :-)

Love the picture of Kat when he did his belly flop.

He must be so much fun to watch.
I see that Spice was enjoying a swimming match with Kat.

Yeah that belly flop was so expressive and I thought that's it, he won't go after that but he did again and again.

Great pictures!! I love their facial expressions and how they seem to be enjoying with such wild abandon (especially Kat haha).

Darlah I love the length and look of Kat's hair like this... how do you get their hair so shiny/silky smooth looking, and how did you do his top-knot? As always, tips are so greatly appreciated when it comes to grooming lol

Is that Roxie face to face with Nathan in the last picture? What a beauty! I just love the way Fiona is looking up at Nathan in a couple of shots-with so much love and adoration. Brings a lump to my throat. All your dawgs and your relationship with them is so so special. The results of all your care and hard work shines through in their love for you and Nathan and you can see that it's totally mutual. We are all so fortunate to see it in your pictures and hear it in your words. It's so heartwarming and I thank you for sharing it.

Alyssa: I use soft ties on the top knot - simple - sometimes more elaborate. The coat is just my usual high end shampoo/conditioner and Show Sheen and OMG spray. Kat's coat gets damaged during the gals heats as they mark up a storm but it eventually comes back. I used to fret. Heck Spice and Truffie have their top of their head chewed off due to play. I almost cried and cried and then said oh well it happens and it will grow back. At least I know they were having fun to get that look. :-)

Irma:
Yes, that is Roxie. She looks different wet. I find her quite attractive wet and different than her mom but when dry she looks just like her mom. She is a huge daddy gal.

Today I managed to get Abigail, Fiona and Kat in the pool while Nathan ran errands. No photos cause it was just me and the dawgs but we had fun. I find Nathan so photogenic as he is always giving a different look as he forgets the camera is there. I rather like that. This way I capture him and how he feels vs. how he wants to feel for the camera. Kat swam the pool length 3 times with me and as we were about to finish he collided with me to give me a kiss as if to say thanx! It was rather nice. Fiona enjoyed the swim but really didn't want me to brush her out. I am not sure she is feeling so hot. Tonight she only ate half her meal and nothing this morning. Ultrasound on the 8th of June. I wanted the 4th but our vet is away.
