Scruffy Day
Still trying to get Scruffy to go in the pool. It doesn't help that there isn't any water in it nor a liner. hahahaha
Scruffy got his pads cleaned up, his nails clipped and his bum cleaned up today. He was a trooper. No bath for him but a number of others had one and now I have this awful neck crimp. The rest will get done tomorrow except for Kat who will be done on Saturday.
Thought you may enjoy the many faces of Scruffy today chillin on the deck furniture. They rather enjoy it out there and it appears to be heating up. Oh is it too much to hope for the pool to get a liner? <smile>
Scruffy says, so I played real hard and now I am chillin and yawning. This play business is real exercise, you know. Poor Panda and Roxie passed out before me. I guess that makes me the winner in the stamina department.
Steph is looking for a ride to the picnic for her, Ringo and her boyfriend. She lives in North York. We already have a full car and have to be there extra early as we are the hosts too. Can anyone help? Please let her know at muskatsn@gmail.com

Scruffy looks adorable and is VERY photogenic! I especially enjoy the last shot where he seems to be yawning and we get to view a profile of his "rock star tail" atop his head! Lori - I bet you love it - I know I do!
Laci is tired today from her romps w/ Charlie the in-house dog at my parents senior home! Not to mention giving kisses to many residents. :-) She really knows how to play and Charlie doesn't quite get it. She does that down dog in a million different positions and he's not sure what that's all about. It looks like Laci learned how to play from Truffie. LOL
Debi: Well one day Truffie and Laci must get together to play. :-) Sounds like you had a full and good day.
Me, I washed Logan, Panda, Abigail, Truffie, and Treasure and I am told I nagged Dennis to weed. hahahahahaha. I may wash Spice tonight but I am thinking about it.
Tomorrow we have Toby visiting, a Teaser and Phantom pup from an earlier litter. We have never met him as he lives in Sudbury but he's staying here for the weekend while his parents do some family stuff. Can't wait to meet him. He won't be here till late afternoon. It's why I am thinking about Washing Spice today vs. having too many to do tomorrow.
Darlah - Did Laci have interaction w/ Truffie? My Dad looked in amazement and couldn't get over how she seemed to have the advantage on Charlie and she's younger - but only by a little, but he's so much bigger! Poor little guy, it's great that he's there, but no one is training him and I worry that one day they may want to take him out of there. I am going to convince my Dad to take Charlie on as a responsibility - good for both! If he feeds him and takes him out and gets him regular, I'm sure his life there will go on. I hope so, as he has a great heart about him.
Yes! Laci must have a get together w/ all her other family! I'll be calling soon. :-)
Debi: I think if they are introduced correctly it does become their safe haven. When we put one back up for Fiona the crew will all try it out just because. We won't put up Fiona's till the end of the month after company is gone etc. Eventually they won't want to use it and then you can sell it on Craigs list. They do sell well. We got an extra on Craigs list under the baby designation. Now I am looking for a Sherpa bag as my zipper broke and Paula has my 2nd bag.
Re: Truffie - of course - the dawgs play with the pups as part of socializing.
Darlah, we bought a Sherpa brand bag recently and Laci didn't like it for travel and so why we recently bought her the Skybox Booster Seat. She adores it! She can look out the side window as well as the front. She can sleep comfortably and gets up to occasionally to let the vents blow cool air on her. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, you can have the bag that we got from Lynda. We're returning the new one though - now that we replaced it w/ sometime different.
Scruffy is adorable! Love the ponytail and that little smile lol
Scruffy sure is photogenic. Great colouring. Looks like a happy relaxed pup.
Scruffy had a great time yesterday and he looks great.....thank you Nathan and Darlah for cleaning him up so nicely :-)
I love his rocker pony tail too Debi....it suits him
So last night we had a mom and pup night as Roger was at the Royal York for a 2day conference which really sucked because it was our 9 year wedding anniversary! Feels like much more as we've been together our entire adult lives. I can't remember life without him. Scruffs was great company though.....we watched a movie and snuggled :-) today he's just looking to see what trouble he can create.....that's our Scruffster!
Lori & Roger! Congratulations!!!!!!!!! (9 times). That's wonderful and it seems we have a lot in common. Doug and I have been together since 16 & 17. I can't bring myself to tell you how many years that adds up to as it might make me faint! LOL
I'm sure Roger will make it up to you! One day when we have a chance to chat I'll have to tell you about the year Doug was away for our anniversary . . . it's hilarious (how I made him pay) and one that's told over and over and over (by Doug). hehehe
Lori & Roger HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ... what is there left to say about Scruffy that hasn't been said already!!! He so looks like my little man ... so of course there is a bit of a soft spot for him ... He is toooooo cute for words! :)
Lori/Roger: Happy Anniversary!
I rather know how you feel. Special days are truly special for me so it feels disconnected when it doesn't time out but make sure you do it up right on another day and make it truly special. Just get into the mindset that this is a makeup date and forget that the real day was missed. Life sometimes happens.
Kathy: Scruffy is far from a chillin' dog. He likes to go, go, go and then drop. He's a rather fun loving guy.
Debi: I would take it from you but you should really keep it just in case you need it to take her somewhere where you need her in a bag?
Darlah - We're either going to keep the new Sherpa Bag for transport use, or return it and purchase one when the time arrives that we need one. I can't see needing one any time soon and as I said, if we do, we know where to get one.
If you can use this one, I'll have Doug drop it off one day. Re the double zip that keeps unzipping, (and Laci peeks her head out and eventually gets out - LOL) there is no place for a lock to secure it, as it's a turn lock. But, I think you could sew it closed and only use the end zip.
