Molly & Larry
Susan sent this photo of Larry and Molly on Canada's Day. I had to laugh at the way they had the kerchief on her.
They are lucky. They have a boat and go from the start of the season till the end having mini adventures just like Penny's parents do.
I have to say I am envious. Can you imagine doing that all summer. What a great dawg life for Molly.
Well we have Ziggy and Jazzy coming and we are going to swim. We will see which of the canines want to come in too. Maybe the ones I haven't brushed yet? hahaha
More later.
This is oh about 10 minutes after I brushed Mia - honest. I surely hope she stays groomed after I bathe her for her going home.
She reminds me so much of Wasabi.
You brush and she rolls around like a scallywag. I just love it!
Benji has adjusted so well he now thinks he is the king of all he surveys.
You can often find him chilling in this heat sitting on Nathan's fave chair. Oh, you want it uncle Nathan? Well hahaha I got it first!
Ziggy arrived and is getting along famously with Jazzy and Benji. I wonder how he will get along with his brother, Scruffy. Ziggy is a happy, happy boy.
Jazzy, he's found a new spot in the garden to venture in. Wait till he sees the rabbit. I wonder what he will do. Jazzy is just here for a long weekend but its as if he says, ah... garden... and he just settles right in and its as if he is on holiday in the finest garden in town and he owns it. hahahaha
Coco and Doozie are playing with EVERYONE. They have this real love for our TV room. I guess its due to that is where Nathan puts his feet up, cuddles with them and chills and they rather like that.
We didn't get swimming in today but I suspect we will tomorrow.

OH my gosh that scarf is hilarious! Love their sense of humour coupled w/ patriotism for their country! My oh my, yes, it appears that Molly does have the life! My first Bichon, Tiffany had great sailor's legs . . . as the saying goes. She could stand in the boat whether it was racing or plowing over large waves. I used to joke that she had suction cups on her pads. Wonder if Molly is the same? LOL
Molly is priceless with the scarf on .. she is a lucky little one to have such a wonderful family ... Benji reminds me a bit of Ms Laci .. he sure is a cute one sitting on his throne :)
Angie! Luv how you've graced Laci w/ the honour of Ms. That is a compliment since her Mom is "The Miss Abs." Laci is already precious to us, but if one day she can fill Miss Ab's paws . . . well that would be special! (I think she's heading there very quickly, given how well she receives the elders at my parent's retirement home.) :-) You have no idea how many people request that I knock on their door when we visit. We assure them we will and keep our promises and we do . . . brings a tear to my eyes thinking about them and how special my girl is to so many!
That's our girl! Haha I can always count on her to roll around in the dirt and grass as soon as she gets a brush or a bath... But we love her for it, she just looks so darn cute when she's a mess :P
Thanks for all of the updates this week and we can't wait to see our baby on Monday.
P.S. what a great picture of her lol and I love Molly's scarf!
Alyssa: She's a riot. I will get her bathed up and try to keep her looking good. I may have to hold her the whole time till you arrive or oh oh...
To all:
Can you believe Ziggy walked down the stairs, swam out, turned around and swam back. He just got here and no I didn't have my camera. I had just asked if he knew how to swim. That's it, got to get Scruffy and Ziggy swimming together but be prepared Lori, Scruffy will sleep and sleep as Ziggy likes to really play in a big way. I swear he has his momma's genes.
Deb: Didn't hear back on email - guess she may be away. sorry..
I am sure Laci is great and I am pleased that you are taking her to visit. You should get her certified when she is older.
Tomorrow I start washing 2 to 3 dogs a day - playing catchup. Shoshi first. Best get it all done before pups are mobile.
Darlah, you took the words out of my mouth about getting Laci certified ... Debi, she is perfect to go into retirement homes as they all would love Ms Laci .. honey child where is the mint julip!! (ok I know I am losing it ... sorry ladies) .....
Any videos of the dogs swimming is a treat for me .. nothing log a dog doing a dog paddle!!! (sorry .. just had to do it! :) )
Angie - hehehe
Darlah - I'll have to check in to that - don't know what it entails.
Poor Charlie - the in-house Shi-Poo that lives at my parent's retirement has been taken away. He was brought in at 10 wks - so not trained. I kept telling everyone I came across (in authority) that it was a shame no one is training Charlie b/c I can see one day them taking him out of there - and it would not be his fault. I tried to get my Dad to take over his training but it didn't happen. I believe in-house dogs are a great idea, but perhaps one that is a little older and has been trained. A Talemaker puppy would be perfect! :-)
On a side note I thought I'd add a little story which I think it really quite cute. There are several residents at my parent's home that claim that Laci is their dog. One woman keeps telling me, "That's my dog, where did you find her?" :-) I go along w/ the conversation and it soon resolves itself and one learns that you have to see the humour in these moments. And, there are a couple of people that claim they had a dog "exactly like Laci!" One man was so polite and asked permission to kiss her which was very sweet. He pleaded w/ me to pls come knock on his door whenever I bring Laci. And we do! My Dad's comment last week was, "How does Laci keep getting cuter?" Now when I leave it's w/ a big smile on my face. :-)
That's a great story about Laci. She really does get cuter every time I see her.
Molly must love being out n the water like that. What a treat!
I think that the Havanese have such cute, sweet faces. That was one of the reasons I fell in love with them. Mia's picture and Benji's picture above just prove it...they have that classic look of.....what? Im just cute and little, what more do you want?
Lori - I wish I looked that cute when I'm all wet or just after getting up in the morning . . . one large shake and the hair's in place! Did I say I want to come back as a dog? :-)
Debi, you and me both....we will come back as Havanese siblings! LOL
Darlah, today Scruffs played with Rosie again. She's my cousin's 8month old ShihTzu. They love each other!!! She came running up to say hello and that was it, 5 hours of non stop play! He will keep up with Ziggy, don't you worry :-) I do believe it is the Teaser genes alright. They are really playful, social, and go, go, go. They love to be the centre of attention....look at me, I'm cute and little, look! And they push the limits, or at least Scruffy does.....boy, oh, boy :-)
We love the photo of regal Benji in Nathan's chair. Ha ha ha!
Wilf: I hope all of you are having a great time. He is certainly in his element. He's such a wonderful dog!
Oh Lori wait till you see Ziggy. He too is a Teaser dog through and through. What off switch? What, I am supposed to have one? Going to be fun tomorrow!
Debi: That's a wonderful story.
