Rain and More Rain

Just a few photos today. We have a busy day so not much of an update - sorry.

Scruffy is here for a bath and as the hours go by he is going to need a two wash one. hahahaha

Pepper is also here for a bath but staying cleaner. What is that about? We are hoping for snow so these dogs stay clean.

Jeannie loves to soak in the rain and then rub that little body of hers from one inch of the backyard to the next just so I have to pick out all those cedar branches. She likes to keep me busy.

Adele rather likes the rain and will lay out in it. So far her hair is easy to brush out wet or dry. Adele is doing much better in class these days. She is going to be a mighty fun dog - she already is. I believe she has a multi-tasking brain!

Well, we are grooming, drying and about to give up. No walks today though. Instead I ran around like a nut case to chase their willies out. They appreciate it.

What a cute picture of Adele. Rain here also and maybe snow on Monday. Is it my imagination or is Jeannie getting lighter in the face? Wow, her coat is so nice even wet! Good to see S&P in good form as always :-)

Pepper is a beauty!

The dogs all look a little 'bummed out' when they are wet. At least they will venture
outside when it is raining. Kona is not fond of getting his feet wet.

Shoshi hated the wet on her feet so much so every day we placed her in the grass forcing her to walk or hop out. She now has no issue with it. She used to hate it. Fiona also goes - ooooh wet - are you kidding but she has to deal. Some adore it. Adele seems to truly like it - and so does Roxie.

Sometimes when Scruffy needs to go out, he looks outside at the rain and says, nah, I'll just hold it. And he does for a few more hours until he absolutely must go. Pepper is still a mystery all around but she seems more pragmatic about it. Our backyard project means we have a lot of mud still and boy did I ever see chunks of mud coming out of their paws this morning. We really need snow to come asap. They are barely lasting the week between showers. Any less frequent and grooming becomes a nightmare for all of us.

Lori: Scruffy is an absolute mess. Glad you opted for a bath as he enjoyed the rain yesterday. Funny but Pepper didn't get muddy. I agree re: snow or at least to remain cold so the dirt doesn't stick to their feet. Next spring we are covering under the maple out back with riverstones. That is where they love to run and that is where they get pure mud from. Nothing grows under the tree so may as well. It was that or create a raised about 6 inches from the ground deck of sorts but who wants to stain another deck and sand - not me.

Levon does the same thing if I open the back door and it is raining. Trigger hasn't yet figured out whether or not he likes rain, so he'll just go out and stand in it and forget to do his business. lol. My last dog, Shadow, used to walk away from the back door if I opened it and it was raining, but then he'd walk to the front door - like the weather was going to be different at the front of the house! lol.

Shannon: hahahaha The more you take them out in it early the more they are inclined to like or tolerate. Can't wait to see them in the snow.
